| Enjoyed Jennifer, the guide, she has a great attitude and really knows Chicago. The food was wonderful and filling. No need for a big breakfast prior to the tour. I liked that not only is it a food tour but I learned about the culture and history of the neighborhood. Can't wait to go back and try the other tour. |

| This tour was informative, entertaining, and tasty. Jennifer (the tour guide) was friendly and fun, helped us understand Chicago and the neighborhoods toured from a local's perspective, and was considerate of guests needs. The food was great and ample--my husband and I were amused that their website claims "most participants don't need to eat lunch afterwards." We couldn't imagine anyone wanting lunch after everything eaten on the tour. The spice shop and the olive oil/balsamic vinegar shop were very unique and informative and were well interspersed with the "eating" portions of the tour. Since we stayed downtown this tour enabled us to see a totally different side of Chicago from everything we experienced during the rest of our visit. We will definitely recommend this tour to our friends who come to Chicago. |

| It was a great day, a great tour, and a really great tour guide - Jessie. This activity gives a nice snapshot of some Chicago neighborhoods and the selection of shops that many people would never have discovered, if not for this tour. Our group had a wonderful time. I have already recommended this to other friends and plan on doing your other tour soon! the ONLY recommendation - to pass out bags with your logo and info on the outside - to hold all the goodies and information! Your tour participants would then be walking advertisements of your tour. |

| I have spent a lot of time in Chicago but I have never really explored the local neighborhoods--this tour combined wonderful tastings with lots of local information. We had a super guide (Nicky) who was enthusiastic about her job and made the tour even more fun. I plan to take another group of friends on this tour next year and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to do something a little out of the ordinary in downtown Chicago. My one suggestion to the tour planners would be to delete the final pizza place and pick a few more establishments closer to the other ones we visited. I think we walked almost half an hour from the next-to-the-last shop to the pizza place and without that final stop, we could have visited even more shops. Overall, I really enjoyed the tour and totally recommend it to others! |

| An excellent activity. My Wife and I had a fabulous time. A truly unique way of discovering a new city while sampling different foods etc. The woman that took the tour was tremendous, friendly and with many interesting things to point out about the city. We strongly encourage you to try this out. Nigel & Kim, Wales, UK. |

| Thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Our tour guide, Jen was exceptional.
Pluses - Olive oil/vinegar store, jewish deli, tea store and pizza were interesting and delicious. Walking through and learning the history of the neighborhoods was great.
Negatives - stop at caterer should be dropped. cheese was ok, but they had fabulous daily dishes on display that could have been added. Understand the time constraints, but wish there was a way to allow some purchases during the tour. Expectation to reverse trail and stop back by the business (especially for out of town guests) is unrealistic. |

| You will want to make sure you have your walking shoes on. This tour was slightly over three hours, and pace, while not hurried, was brisk in moving from location to location. The walk is a little over a mile, and you will be on your feet for most of the three hours.
We are from a town just 80 miles away from Chicago and go a few times a year for shows, dining and sights. We never took a walking tour before, and selected this one based on description and reviews. We wandered from the Gold Coast, through Old Town to Lincoln Park. Our guide, Jen, was knowledgeable, personable, and made sure she gave personal attention everyone in our thirteen person group. The focus of the tour is to visit locally owned and run specialty shops that all have a common denominator in food. You will sample local deli fare, visit a spice shop, taste some of the most amazing olive oils and balsamic vinegars, savor some local chocolate, keep hydrated with iced specialty teas, taste your way through the cheese shop, and then sit down for a marvelous slice of Chicago stuffed pizza.
While you don't eat or drink a ton the samples are generous, are are designed to give you a real taste, while leaving you plenty of room for the next stop. Along the route, you will see and learn about the neighborhoods and their distinctive character and history along with their architectural diversity.
I think I would call this more a neighborhood tour than a food tour. The focus is food overall, but you end up with a very good sample of those things that really make a neighborhood distinctive, the food, the history and the architecture. You feel like you have been given a good enough look to know your way around and will want to come back another time and spend another day exploring on your own. |

| The food tour was a wonderful way to experience some of the culture, history, and treats of Chicago. Our guide, Nicky, was informative and entertaining and the stops we made along the tour provided a unique tasting experience. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. |
