| We truly enjoyed our food & walking tour of Chicago with Chicago Food Planet. My husband & I enjoyed the tour even more our second time around! This time we brought our niece (12 years old) & our sister. All of us loved the history of Chicago & LOVED the food! Our tour guide, NICKI TADER was fantastic!! She was just awesome & made the tour so much fun! My favorite parts were the Chicago spinach stuffed pizza & the Spice House. We even went back to purchase a few spices. It rained that morning & looked a little gloomy, however Nicki said "it never rains on my tours" & we had the most spectacular day with sunshine! What a great way to spend an afternoon with your loved ones eating delicious food in our great city of Chicago!!! :) |

| This is a unique tour of the city. Although I live here and frequent some of the stops on the tour it was fun taking my family on this food tour and listening to some of Chicago's local history and look at the beautiful archetecture. The places on the tour are unique boutique shops with varity of food offerrings. |

| We really enjoyed our food tour. Tour guide did a good job. A few suggestions:
Not enough time in oil or spice shop. Pizza was very good, but a long way from the previous stop. We ending going back to three of the shops and used our coupon sheet to make purchases. |

| I was very familar with Chicago already, but my boyfriend wasn't. We went on the tour and we both enjoyed the sights/information. Our tour guide, Jessie was fantastic. She was energetic, positive and fun despite all the rain we had on our tour.
A lot of restaurants we visited were good. However, to make it more personable I would recommend going to places where there aren't already samples out for the public. It didn't feel like this was "our tour." |

| After reading the reviews prior to purchasing tickets, I was hoping we would not be dissapointed and we definitely were not! We were met with a beauitufl and enthusiastic tour guide (Jessie) and she was wonderful! Not only was she friendly and lively but she also was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of interesting tidbits and Chicago history along the way. The places we went to were also great - we definitely went back the next day and purchased many of the items sampled and even went back for Dinner at Bacinos on our final day in Chicago. We would never have found these wonderful places on our own and walking through the neighborhoods really gave you a feel for what it woudl be like to live there. Our group consisted of 18 people and more than half were locals - they all loved the tour and raved about the new places they had discovered. My husband is not a "tour" guy but he was most impressed and even said this was the best thing about our trip! That says a lot!!! Take good walking shoes and don't eat before you go. I ate a small breakfast and wished I hadn't because they really do give you enough to sample; sometimes twice! |

| My group had a great time on the tour. However, you really only eat at the first and last stop. It would be great if there was a snack at the Spice House incorporating the spices and maybe some bread at the oil shop to try with the oil |

| Hi, My husband and I visited Chicago to celebrate our birthdays. I read the reviews on these tours and decided to book it after much consideration...after all...how good could a walking/eating tour really be? I have to say, it was really a great day and I would do it again next time I visit. We had Jessie/Curly as our tour guide and she is full of life, information and passion! Great level of detail, never a dull moment and lots of interesting sites and tastes...and it even rained heavily part way through our tour! It didn't matter cause we all had fun and made the best of it!
You really should take one of their tours if you have not already. Fun day! |

| Jessie, our tour guide, was enthusiastic and fun. She filled the tour with facts we never could have found on our own. We ended up in establishments we never would have visited, but are so glad we experienced! Our favorite stop was the oil store, where we got to taste different high-quality oils and vinegars. The tea shop was awesome, and the pizza at the last tasting was to die for! We ended up doing the tour on our own in reverse after the official tour ended, just to visit the stores again and make purchases. Fabulous, fabulous tour-- we really felt it was worth the money, and it exceeded our expectations. |

| My fiance and I were looking for a neat, cultural activity that involved good food, and this fit the bill perfectly. Although the price intially seemed a little bit high at $42 per person, it was definitely worth it. The tour ended up taking nearly four hours, and the food tastings were generally very good. I loved the information and background that was provided about the neighborhoods we visited, especially since we are contemplating a move to Chicago at some point in the future. It was a great springboard for us to start planning and further exploring the neighborhoods of Chicago. The guide was very informative and enthusiastic, as well as available for more mundane questions about living in Chicago.
The only negative complaints I have are the size of the tastings at a few of the stops. The Spice House, while certainly a great stop, did not offer much in the way of tasting. It would have been nice to have something more substantial than a few powders to taste. Similarly, at Catering Chocolate, I found the tasting to be rather minimal and boring--just gouda cheese and some hummus. That definitely could have been better.
However, despite those relativel minor disappointments, the other stops were absolutely wonderful. I would definitely recommend this activity to anyone going to Chicago and looking for a foodie adventure. |
