| I think the best part of the tour is a chance to visit local neighourbood and try local food where first time tourists would not usually do. The tours are well organized. They gave you maps showing the walking directions and information of transit information, so you could easily go back to visit the places yourself afterwards. You also get to go behind the scenes in some places which I found quite cool. Next time I am in Chicago I will definitely try their other tours or even take the same tour again. Thanks Julie! |

| Jen was our cheerful tour guide who enthusiastically steered us through our Near North Side culinary journey. Sample sizes were ample and diverse, aisle shopping was fun, scenery was pleasant, and vegetarians eagerly accommodated. I don't get the criticism from a handful who complain that they didn't get to eat $42 worth of food. The point is to sample various cuisines and be guided around by a local while enjoying the walk, learning about history and architecture. I was plenty full by the time I finished the tour (some of the samples given include a Reuben sandwich (or potato pancake for the non-meat eater), slize of cheese stuffed pizza, cheese and hummus/crackers, and plenty of toffee brittle. YUM! |

| I had some reservations about going on this tour in the wind and light rain, but I need not have been worried. The tour was awesome. It was a fantastic way to see Chicago, learn about some history and architecture, and visit some wonderful local shops. The food was excellent and I retraced my steps to purchase items at the conclusion of the tour. It made me want to go and cook! Our tour guide was fantastic- a fountain of knowledge and just very welcoming. She went the additional mile to make sure everyone was happy- even taking me aside and showing me a map of the town so that this confused kiwi from San Diego could understand the layout of Chicago. Fantastic! |

| Fantastic tour..
When Henry Ford was in business with Mr. Rockefeller he called MR. R and had a problem with the car line. MR. R flipped a few switches and fixed the problem. MR. R then sent a bill to MR. Ford a bill for $10,000.00.
Mr. Ford called and questioned the amount. Mr. R said, OK I will resend the bill.
He resent that bill...
$1000 for his time to flip a couple of switches
$9000 for knowing what switches to flip.
Your tour was Fantastic because you know where to go and information about the local shops. ( What switches to flip)
I have sent in orders to almost all the food shops and will recommend this tour to all my friends...
Ketchup was a joke... no one laughed

| This tour is a great way to see Chicago off the beaten path. The stops in Old Town, especially The Fudge Pot, where the toffee is the best ever, now are must return locations. But the best part was Jen, our guide, who made the walk delightful and fun with her infectuous laugh and knowledge of all things Chicago. |

| I was in Chicago with my husband - who was attending a legal conference, therefore, while he was in meetings, I wanted to do something besides just shopping. I do love to cook, so that is why I chose this tour, because of the blend of places that we visited. The mix of shops was perfect and I did go back to 3 of the places and made purchases. Our tour guide was Jen and she was great - very engaging and full of facts and knowledge about Chicago history. It did rain almost the whole tour, but we were having such a great time that I don't think anyone minded - just be sure to take an umbrella and raincoat if rain is in the forecast! I would definitely take the other tour the next time I come to Chicago - but I can't imagine that it could top this one. |

| Our guide Jennifer was a perfect example of what a quality tour guide should be....enthusiastic, informative and professional.......I appreciated the fact that the places we visited were out of the ordinary.........the walking tour provided a nice way to learn about Chicago history, social aspects and architecture of the area and of course, enjoy the food tastings......I've already placed an ordered from Old Town Oil and plan to order from Tea Gschwendner for the holidays...............................................
........thank you....Janis Goto of Honolulu, HI. |
