We purchased two tickets for myself and my spouse. We have found that these tours offer you exposure to parts of the city we might not have seen otherwise.
We enjoyed it very much and will be searching for these types of tours every time we go to a new city.

We enjoyed seeing the different neighborhoods and all the tasting stops were great. We will go back to this area on our own. We would have liked to walk a little slowly so we could have taken in all the area around us. Our tour guide was great. I would recommend this to anyone. |

I thoroughly enjoyed the tour, as did everyone in our group. The tour guide was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and entertaining and the tastings were great. It would have helped me to know that we were basically snacking until close to the end, I would have eaten something beforehand...but it was still great :) |

I am so glad that I booked this tour online. It was fabulous! Our tour guide, Emily, was wonderful - nice, thoughtful, knowledgable! The stops we made were really interesting and delicious! I loved the spice shop! I had never been to a vinegar and oil shop and enjoyed it tremendously. The pizza lunch was a nice stop. In fact, all the food stops were great. The walk was long, but very interesting and took us to neighborhoods that we wouldn't have visited on our own. Plus you need to walk a lot to walk off all the food! This tour was terrific! |

We thoroughly enjoyed the entertaining and fun tour through the Chicago neighborhoods. It was a lot of walking but we stopped several times to enjoy the various shops/eateries. We also had bathroom breaks and we did not go hungry! The tour guide, Emily, was outstanding. She was courteous, friendly and outgoing. It was a blast. Everyone on our tour thought so as well. We learned some local history and enjoyed the unique shops. It was well worth the time and money. Don't miss it! |

What a great way to see Chicago! The tour guide was nice, funny and very informative!!!! I loved the learning about Chicago facts, Chicago history and Chicago city suggestions from a local. And what a great way to do a tour via food! What a great way to learn about local Chicago restaurants, local eateries, food facts and also getting to taste delicious samples along the way!! I highly recommend this tour to anyone going to Chicago =) A+! |

I thought this was a nice variation from your typical walking tours and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in seeing Chicago by foot (but only in great weather). It's also a good way to see the local restaurants even if they weren't directly involved with the tour.
My only suggestions would be to have a smaller group and have more food tastings. There are only 8 tastings, 2 of them I don't necessarily consider food. They were the spice and vinger / oil tastings. While they were both an interesting and delicious experience, I thought perhaps having the condiments served with food rather than by itself would be a better experience. Also I would like to see one chocolate tasting rather than two.
Also, I would suggest anyone to eat a meal prior to going. Although the website says people are generally full from the food tasting, the "real" food didn't happen until towards the end of the tour. My girlfriend and I had only a small breakfast thinking that we would leave room for the food tasting, but we found ourselves really hungry from all the walking. By the time the real food came (one slice of pizza), we were both already having hunger cramps.
That said, I still had a good time. I learned a few things about Chicago and I got to taste some delicious food at the same time. Just needs more of it. |
