Fantastic way to experience Chicago

| I have already highly recommended this tour to a number of people who will soon be visiting Chicago. Our tour guide, Caroline, was excellent, informed, friendly, and enthusiastic. I loved visiting the local stores owned by 2nd, 3rd, and 4th generation families. It was a great combination of culinary experiences. The next time I am in Chicago, I look forward to trying the other walking tours you have to offer. One suggestion - would love to see a food and wine pairing tasting tour - that would be much fun! |

| I think it was a very good tour but I would take off the Catering place off the tour I along with others in the group thought that was a waste of time to go there. I also thought that people in the group would have like to spend a little more time in the spice store instead of outside.The demo by our guide about cinnamon was also a waste of time and way too long with 90 degree temperatures.
The pizza place was too far for some to walk and it wasn't worth it when we got there, it was just okay pizza. I thought the place was dirty and had terrible service. I can't believe that the pizza ovens and the counter where they make them are right by the door with no protection!!! Can't believe that is not a Health dept. violation...
I also think that you should put more places to eat at on the tour. Perhaps swap out the catering place with Adobo grill or the Irish Pub in Old Town. |

| Great experience from start to end. I would have never thought to participate in a tasting at a spice or oil shop--both were amazing experiences. Even better, both shops have online access as well. Too often I do not buy interesting products online because you never know what quality you will find in food products. It was wonderful to actually see, sample, and experience the products and see first-hand how they run their businesses. I will be an online customer for years to come for the tea, chocolate, spices, and olive oil.
Great group experience with a very nice tour guide. Don't expect to eat or drink a lot--just participate in some great samples with a slice of amazing pizza at the end.
I would recommend this experience to anyone who likes walking and interesting new experiences. One of the best things I have ever done during all of my Chicago visits combined. |

| since we walked through an area, which is not in direct focus of tourists, I would suggest to put more emphasis on explaining the very interesting houses and the area |

| My 6-year old son and I were visiting my sister in the city and decided to try something different this time. Luckily, he's already kind of a foodie and enjoys "grown-up" stuff. The food was great, the tour guide, Jessie, was really good and we learned a lot. Jessie made sure my son was welcomed and a part of the group. If you have a child much younger, or who doesn't have a good attention span, I wouldn't recommend it. Three hours was just right for this kind of tour. |

| My fiancee and I had a great time. Our favorite was the Old Time Oil. We didn't know what to expect when we were instructed to take mini-shots of flavored oil and vinegar, but to our surprise everything was so amazingly tastey. We ended up buying 8 bottles. Our guide, Jennifer, was the best! We highly recommend this tour to anyone who has any appreciation for food. |

| First of all I'd like to say that dealing with Zerve was a pleasure and our guide could not have been better. She was enthusiastic and knowledgeable.-- just a joy to be with! The tour was very informative! We had always wanted to learn about the Old Town / Lincoln Park areas, and we did! There was enough food, and we went away full and satisfied. I'd go back to the Ashkenaz Deli in a heartbeat! The pizza, though, was not hot and the dough was tough---It was as though it had been sitting for awhile. The shop I was not sure I'd enjoy was the oil / vinegar shop, but it was truely fabulous!! Everyone should know about it! And what else needs to be saId about a shop that sells good chocolate! Yum! I can't wait to go on their other tour! |

| Our entire group loved the tour. Our tour leader Jessie was exceptional--very enthusiastic, pleasant, and informed. She was an absolute delight.
We are looking forward to doing this again in the future!
