| The tour was very interesting and the attention to architecture and the stories behind it was entertaining and informative. The shops we visited were places that might be called unusual for most tourists, but definitely worth seeing. There was less food than implied by the advertising, but certainly enough that you wont go hungry. It was very tempting to shop during the tour and unfortunately when it was over most of the places I wanted to go back to were already closed, but besides that the tour guide and store employees were very knowledgeable, receptive to questions, and quite personable. I would recommend this tour as a way of getting to know a few of the different neighborhoods, especially if you're from out of town. |

| The tour was enjoyable. Despite the unpredictable weather conditions, I enjoyed walking the streets of Chicago. All of the places we visited were tasty. However, the places where we were able to receive a quick history or trivia were more interesting than others where we were only there to grab a taste and leave. As a tourist who is interested in learning the city, I would prefer some interaction with the owners of the restaurant or at least someone from the restaurant who was knowledgeable of its unique history.
Other than that, I enjoyed the tour immensely. |

| The tour leader was very knowledgeable about the entire tour and was able to answer all questions. The food samples, while small in proportion, were enough to fill me up for lunch. Great tour of the city. |

| My wife and I had a great time on the food tour, Carolyn was a great tour guide. We enjoyed all the places we visited and went back to purchase items from four of the places on the tour.
We can not wait to tell our friends about the tour. |

| My boyfriend and I absolutely loved this tour. We met some wonderful people and our tour guide Caroline was very informative, enthusiastic and fun. We learned some interesting things about oil and tea, tasted some great food (especially the pizza at the end) and really enjoyed the walk through the Gold Coast and Old Town. If it wasn't for this tour we probably would not have seen this part of town. The architecture is fascinating and we saw some beautiful homes (so it wasn't just about food.) The best part was at the end when you got to have a beer tasting after the pizza for only $3.00 for people on the tour only. Thanks again we loved it and are definitely going to hang out in this part of the town the next time we visit. |

| This is a good way to see some Chicago neighborhoods. Particularly enjoyed stops at The Spice House, Old Town Oil and the pizza parlor. The biggest drawback is that there isn't any time allowed to shop! I'd consider eliminating the chocolate/fudge store (which is yummy but not as informative) and the catering place (again, yummy but not informative), and giving people a few minutes to buy products at the other venues. Overall, I definitely recommend. Our tourguide (Caroline) had lots of energy and a clear grasp of the subject matter. |

| Shane and company have planned a very fun tour that will delight all enthusiasts of food, architecture and walking. Jessie was a knowledgeable and cheery tour guide who taught us the insider's insights to the Chicago neighborhoods through which she led us.
I, for one, came away with increased knowledge about parts of this great city, added appreciation for Chicago's culinary traditions, and some excellent souvenirs from Tea Geschwendner and Old Town Oil. I certainly plan to patronize the other businesses online, too! And during a future visit to Chicago, I'll be sure to take the other Chicago Food Planet tour.
Thank you, Shane, Jessie, and all the merchants who made me such a happy tour participant! |

| The tour was a well-balanced mix of food and history with a knowledgeable guide. We enjoyed all of the destinations, and returned to many locations the day after to do some shopping. It was the best part of our Chicago trip, and we've been recommending it to everyone we know! |

| I was hesitant to book this tour, even tho I read some great reviews on TripAdvisor. I was very happy with the tour, and my concern about too much walking was unfounded. The day after our tour, my husband and I returned to one of the shops that was on the tour, and used the discount coupon provided us by our tour guide. We happen to be in the shop when another Near North Food Tasting Tour came in, and I observed the tour guide. In my opinion, she lacked the zest that our guide, Jesse, brought to the tour. Most of our tour was during a rain shower, and I doubt anyone in our tour even cared. Jesse was well informed, animated and had a keen sense of humor. I believe she made the tour what it was....lots of fun! |
