| We greatly enjoyed our tour. Our tour guide, I believe her name was Arielle, was SPECTACULAR. We could not have asked for a better guide! She was enthusiastic, witty, and VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE!!! We would have liked it a little better if the spice and oil shops would have had some small pieces of food to put their spices on for tasting purposes. The Fudge Pot was wonderful and very generous with their portions. We are considering another tour next year. We only hope we have another wonderful tour guide like this time. |

| Enjoyed the tour and the walking pace was perfect to site see but keep moving. The Spice store with the presentation from Michael Erb was excellent. Did not care for the pizza. Know it was suppose to be the"best" but truthfully have had better.
Our tour guide was friendly and informative. |

| My sorority sisters, some of whom are from the Chicago area, and I participated in this tour on Sat. June 28th and we loved every minute of it. We loved the knowledge and enthusiasm our tour guide brought to the tour. There was not as much food as I was originally lead to believe and there is a nice amount of walking. We had great weather so the walk was a pleasure. Too bad there was no Chicago hot dog included in the tour, but overall it is a must for enjoying the unique beauty of the city!! |

| The tour was a lot of fun. Not as much eating as I expected, which was actually a good thing. We were given the opportunity to taste different types of foods and learn about spices, teas and oils as well. In addition, our tour guide was knowledgeable about the architecture which added to the tour. Ending the tour with a delicious slice of stuffed pizza was good too. |

| My beau and I were, and still are, quite pleased with our Near North tour. Nicki (sp?) was a great guide. She gave us interesting information and engaged us in great conversation. Our group was small, just one other couple, so we felt appreciative of Nicki's attentive manner.
The food was great. We had dined at Malnati's the night before, and came to realize that we'd not had the best deep dish in Chicago until Friday afternoon.
All of the food was great, and the nice weather was a bonus.
We will certainly be doing this again! |

| The 'Foodie North' tour is a great mix of food-tasting, Chicago history and architecture. The walking route is easy, scenic in places and very well-planned. Our guide Kate was terrific and we enjoyed every stop along the way. I'd highly recommend this 3-hour jaunt. If we had time, we probably would have also tried the other food tour through Bucktown and Wicker Park. |

| We really enjoyed the tour. The guide, Kate, was enthusiastic and informative. We saw a beautiful area of Chicago, made our own reuben with the best pastrami we've ever eaten, sampled some great candy, and learned about oils and vinegar as well as spices. It was a pleasant way to get a better feel for the area. |

| We really enjoyed the tour and our guide, Jennifer, was terrific! This was our first visit to Chicago and we love to walk around and get a vibe for the area and eat at local places.
We did a similar tour last year in New York, Greenwich Village - so we wanted to do a food tour in Chicago since they are well known for great restaurants.
The stops on the Near North tour were good, and the food samples were good. It is a "stretch" to call it a food tour with a tea store, spice store and oil/vinegar store on the list of places to visit. The only real food samples were at the Jewish deli and the pizza place. The candy store was good and we got to sample English Toffee. The proprietor interacted with us, brought us behind the counter and demonstrated making candy.
The employee at the tea store was very informative, too.
Our tour guide, Jennifer, is passionate about her work, and really made a great effort to tell us interesting information about the area. She also helped us decide on other things to do with our remaining time in Chicago.
I would recommend this tour to friends. |

| This was a delightful way to experience the unique shops and businesses in the neighborhoods of Chicago. Walking made the tour more intimate and fun and you were up close and personal rather than a ride by on a bus. There was more interaction with the tour guide and other members of the group. The tasting was great fun. The only negative of this tour was one of the stops where the workers were indifferent to us and gave the feeling we were a bother. I would like to see the Catering establishment changed to one of the Bakeries we saw in the area. Also, it would have been better if we could have purchased items during the tour. How many of the group had the time or took the effort to return to one of the stores to buy?
All in all, this was one of most enjoyable and different tours I have taken. |

| We really enjoyed the three towns and all the info about them and the architecture, etc.
At the end of our tour (3 1/2 hrs), we had to run to catch another tour we'd booked, but would have liked to go back into some of the shops. I knew we weren't to buy food at the shops, but it wasn't clear ahead of time that we should have planned nothing afterward so that we could re-trace our steps. Thankfully, we can order things on-line.
Jennifer, our guide, was terrific. She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and very easy to understand and hear. She really helped make the tour great! |
