| Our guide Jennifer was wonderful, her enthusiasm and knowledge of the area as well as of the history of the city and food was excellent. The stores/eateries were well chosen and their reception and offerings were very good. We were very lucky to have such a small group, 6 travelers, which made the whole event so much more enjoyable and relaxing.
We really enjoyed being exposed to new areas of Chicago and Jen made the day trip one we will long remember.
Thank you for making the experience available to newcomers/visitors to Chicago, we plan on returning!

| We picked this tour because it was listed #1 on TripAdvisor. My hopes were high going in... and they were far exceeded!! This was the best part of our visit to Chicago. I would highly recommend it to people who want a comprehensive tour of Chicago and to those who want to have a GREAT time. Our tour guide, Ariana, was really enthusiastic and informative... what a joy!!! Thank you!! |

| My husband and I really enjoyed learning about the local history and architecture during our tour and the stops we made at the local shops really gave us a taste of what Chicago has to offer. We really loved the Old Town Oil shop because of the exceptional collection of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. If you think you don't like balsamic than you have to go there and truly have an out of this world experience that will rock your taste buds' world!! Some of the combinations were rosemary olive oil with strawberry balsamic and to top it off the walnut/apple made me so happy. The stuffed pizza from Bacino's Pizzeria was exquisite and my husband's favorite stop. Well, I loved it all, from the pastrami reuben, that is oh so yummy, to the spices we tasted.
Being part of a group is always more meaningful because you socialize with people who come from all walks of life to find enojoyment in something as simple as drinking iced tea on a humid Chicago day! Visiting a new place is nice as a couple but not fun as can be with a group of people who are from around the country or world. Wait, the chocolate from The Fudge Pot was creamy and just really good quality chocolate. This you will enjoy.
So, thanks to everyone who plays part in this tour who made our day!!

| We had a great tour guide in Arianna, who took us to a Jewish deli for reuben sandwiches, a tea shop (where we learned all about antioxidants and how tea compares to coffee, and had free and delicious mango iced tea), a spice store where all of the hundreds of spices are ground fresh, an olive oil & balsamic vinegar store (with many free samples of each), a chocolate shop, and a famous stuffed pizza place. Along the way she explained the neighborhoods, their history, specific houses and special parks. She also recommended great Chicago restaurants to visit after the tour, which we did. She was very personable and we all had a great time. Highly recommend it! |

| This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Chicago. The restaurants and shops were great finds, and everyone in our group had different favorites--that tells you how good they all were! My favorite was the tea place and the oil and vinegar shop--which I never would have predicted. Who knew sipping balsamic vinegar could be so delicious? Our guide was fun and engaging and kept us entertained as we walked through the north end of Chicago. I agree with some of the other posters--do this early enough in your trip so you can return and shop/eat at some of the places you visit. |

| I basically expected this to be a long, hot hike to taste some pizza and hot dogs in the city, but it was absolutely fabulous! I went with my mother and a friend of hers, both visiting from the east coast, and we've been talking about how great of an idea it was to go on this tour ever since. Not only do you actually get some history and see some off-the-beaten-path locations (Florsheim mansion, playboy mansion, oz park) but you also get to taste local business items that you would never think to seek out otherwise. This really was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon and we will certainly be buying tickets to the Wicker Park tour when they come back in the Fall. I forget our guide's name, but she was patient, funny, energetic and knowledgable......she never made us feel like we were being taught something but more like she was excited to share with us. Thank you! It was great! |

| We loved the walking tour! It was well worth the price to be able to find places that we would never have known about. And the stuffed pizza at the end was excellent. We will be coming back to Chicago next year and plan on doing the other tour. Thank you for a wonderful experience. |

| Pros: Excellent guide. Loved the neighborhood information, the architectural knowledge, food descriptions and history. Great variety of food tastings.
Cons: don't feel it was a very moderate walking pace, more of a quick pace. Quite strenuous for my 77 year old Mother who I feel is in pretty good shape. |

| The Near North tour was a great part of our trip - we enjoyed it, our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and we highly recommend it. The food stops were excellent, and the vendors we patronized were high quality. |
