| Our tour with Shane (tour guide) was wonderful! He was very insightful and knowledgeable when it came to the neighborhoods and foods on our tour. It was an exceptional value as well. We would definitely take one of your other neighborhood tours the next time we visit Chicago.

| After visiting my son in Chicago periodically over the past 7 years, I decided it was time to play tourist. I love food and wanted to see some of the neighborhoods that I normally drive by, so this tour sounded perfect. Nicki, our guide was great - very friendly and lots of fun. We actually walked from the Water Tower to Lincoln Park, so I would say the you need to be able to do a fair amount of walking without tiring to enjoy this tour. The food stops were interesting and tasty! I plan to go back to some of the stores on my next trip up there. I do wish that the website would have stated specifically where the tour ended or that they would have emailed that information to the participants before the day of the tour. I could have walked to where I was staying after the tour was over, but I had to go back downtown on the train to pick up my car to drive back to Lincoln Park. I would have taken the bus into town had I known. and left my car where I was staying.
I am looking forward to the company expanding and offering tours though some other great Chicago neighborhoods with amazing history and food! Yum! |

| We had a great time on the tour. Walked all the calories off! Would have enjoyed the foods in more of an order like appetizers first, then pizza, then sweets.. Tad was a wonderful guide and knew so much about the city. He was concerned with our safety, and comfort. I wish we could have had a few more in between stops to sample. Even one bite here and there along the way or a typed sheet from each of the stops would have been informative, even if they don't offer a sample. I was more concerned with the kinds of food and the heritage. We enjoyed our small group of 6 and visiting with them along the way. I wondered how far we walked that day...we went everywhere and we really enjoyed the quaint neighborhoods. I suggest for Ghirardella chocolate shop not to open the sample package of their chocolates...so on a hot day they won't leak out into you purse if you decide not to eat them at the beginning of the tour! We had attended the National Restaurant Show in Chicago and had sampled many various foods previously, so the walking and cultural part was the better part of the tour for us.

| Everything we'd read online had indicated to meet at Michigan and Pearson at Old Water Tower. So that is where we were 20 minutes before time of the tour. Kept looking for someone who looked like he/she might be the guide. Finally it was 2 o'clock and decided we'd try to call someone. Looked at the actual voucher to find phone number and then saw the more specific instructions to meet in front of Ghirardelli. So got off to a bad start. But it worked out ok.
But joined Sean, the guide, with total of five on the tour. Enjoyed the peace and quiet when we turned off of Michigan Av (away from the traffic) and then again when we left State St. The buildings were most interesting and Sean told interesting stories about many of them. He introduced us to the people working in the shops where we sampled the various food items. Had wonderful chocolate and toffee. Enjoyed learning about all the many spices at the spice shop, and about the many teas at the tea shop. The samples of cheese and bread were excellent. And the pizza was really great too---what a treat.
Guess the shop operators all knew that we didn't have time to shop while on the tour but it surely would have been nice if we'd been given at least a few minutes for shopping during the tour. I know that's a difficult thing to do, especially if there is a large group, for then it would take way too much time. We were just glad there was another tea shop close enough that we could stop there before leaving the area.
Thank you for providing such a walking tour. We really enjoyed the whole afternoon. |

| As a new resident of Chicago, I hadn't had time to explore much. This tour gave me a great basis for branching out further on my own, while being very entertaining in its own right. The food was very good, and the coordination of food and tour was extremely well organized. I went back to one of the establishments for dinner that same day. |

| What a wonderful way to educate students in the field of culinary arts. My students fully enjoyed the experience and it stimuated some to want to pursue a career in many of the fields of food we explored on our tour. Our guide was the best and worked creatively with the students. We all thought he was the best.
We are a small downstate school with students in food service and this was the best tour we have ever been on.
Thank you for offering such a wonderful experience. |

| I enjoyed walking through the neighborhoods that we visited. I would have liked a little more history from our tour guide. The food stops were good but I would have like to sit down just a moment or two somewhere during the tour. |

| I recently went on the North tour with a couple of friends. We were all looking forward to it. We were not disappointed. The stores/restaurants are interesting and different. Learning about tea, spices, and the stories behind each place was really cool. I recommend this for people new to Chicagoland and the locals that may not know the area! Definetly doing the other tour in the spring! |
