We really enjoyed our guide, Kent, and the food samples were wonderful. The only stop that I might suggest deleting is catering <> chocolate. It was okay, just not up to par with other stops and seemed out of the place by comparison.

My partner and I visited Chicago Oct 6-13 and went on the Near North Food Tour on Oct 7. We lucked out on the weather, cause it was a pretty wet and cold week. Anyway, the tour was awesome. Jenn was a terrific guide and make everyone feel welcome. The stops to the various restaurants and stores were fabulous, especially when there was interaction between us and the owners/ staff. Jenn shared some great insights on the homes in the various neighbourhoods we visited and pointed out other things of interest that would be helpful for the remainder of our stay. Favourite stops included the Tea Store, Spice Store, and Oil & Vinegar stores. The Pizza at the end was excellent as well. The only place that I didn't really enjoy was the chocolate/catering place. I didn't feel the food or experience there was all that special. It could have been made more special if we had an opportunity to taste one of their specialities (something they made for one of the big clients) and if there was some interaction with the owner. Anyway, overall I totally think this was worth it. Preview the video on the site... it is a very accurate reflection of the experience you will receive.

I am a tour operator and just took a small group on this tour. Everyone was extremely happy with what we did. First of all, our leader/guide was fantastic. She was very enthusiastic about Chicago and the neighborhoods we saw. She was very knowledgeable about the architecture. The stops at the venues we had were so much fun. They were not your usual "chain" shops. We all went back the next day to make purchases! I would recommend this trip to everyone. We had some ladies that were over 80 years old and they did opt to take a taxi to our last stop, but that worked out fine. Great day!

Scott & Scott from Toledo. We came to chacago just to do a food thing. so glad we found these 2 tours. we like to cook and found the near north so interesting with the tea, spice and the oil stores after we got done with the tour we acctually back tracked and went to all the stores all over again and bought so much we had to have it shipped back home. the guides were so friendly and helpful...... i hope they add more tours so we can come back to do it all over again

This tour was excellent. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and the stops were both fun and interesting. We went back to 2 of the stops because we wanted to actually buy some spices and oils but would also return to a few more. I have lived in and around Chicago my whole life and still found out some new things. When in one of the stops with a large group you do feel like a tourist but it passes quickly. You need to check the weather on the day you go. Fortunately the weather was only cloudy with a few spinkles towards the end. It would have been a more difficult day if it would have rained but you need to dress for the weather. We still would have had fun. Great exercise too especially if you walk back to the start.

| My wife and I greatly enjoyed our tour on Sunday September 27th. Our guide Carolyn was cheerful and very knowledgeable of the various sites and buildings. We very much enjoyed the tea shop and Old Town Oil. We went back and purchased some tea to take home with us. We would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Chicago area.

Our guide, Jennifer, was great! The diversity of history, culture, and food was balanced, interesting, and entertaining. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, the company, and the food. I would recommend this to everyone who likes food and would like to learn more about the Chicago neighborhoods. We'll definitely come again.
