| We love food and naturally booked this tour when we were visiting Chicago. Our tour guide Kate was awesome, and she was great at answering questions and providing some real history. The food we tasted itself was not in abundance, except for the slice of pizza so we were a little disappointed at that. The best part of the tour was the neighborhoods we visited. Most people on tour considered it more of a walking tour of chicago with some snacks on the way! The Spice House, Tea shop and Stuffed Pizza were the highlights. We recommend taking this tour. It was an enjoyable 3 hour event and we would try the other tours this company offers. |

| When they say the tour goes rain or shine, they aren't kidding. We did our tour during the rain from Gustav and it rained the entire day but it wasn't cold. There is plenty of walking but the stops are terrific and Emily was a great guide who knew a lot about the areas we walked through as well as the stops we made. I particularly enjoyed the Spice Market and Tom, the owner, who gave a great presentation on various cinnamons. The tea shop and oil store were also favorites of mine and I went retraced my steps (still in the rain) to make some purchases. I highly recommend the tour for some great shops and some interesting history of Chicago. |

| Arianna was awesome and gave the tour with enthusiasm! The food was great, even though I was a little hesitant about the oil shop and the spice shop. My husband hates doing tours, but he thoroughly enjoyed this! We will definetely be ordering some of the oils and spices online. And the pizza at the end was amazing! We're both glad we took this tour! |

| A short summary of the food tour: The tour lasted approximately three and a half hours and we walked over two miles. The guide Emily was excellent and provided information about the areas visited. The food you receive is: a potatoe pancake, a glass of iced tea, several pieces of chocolate, a couple pieces of cheese, and a piece of pizza. The tour also ends quite a way from where it started which requires another half hour getting back. After visiting Chicago many times my advice would be to rent a bike and have a really nice upscale lunch. You would still have money left over for shopping. I did not feel the tour was worth the price charged. |

| We thoroughly enjoyed the tour & food tasting was fabulous-such a variety-you definitely don't need lunch. Our guide was friendly & very knowledgeable-learned lots! Only thing I would say is that you might want to stress that this is a lot of walking but I suppose people realize that when it's there in black & white that this is a 3 1/2 hr walking tour. You might want to stress it tho cause I consider myself to be quite healthy & felt it was a long walk-feet were sore! Otherwise fabulous!!! |

| The tour was a great way for an individual to get a limited exposure to a number of neighborhoods and the culinary experiences that they provide. On my tour we had people from both sides of the US which was fun but most people were in couples so the whole getting to know you experience was weak. For someone that is passionate about food and had never been to Chicago it was a good opportunity to see what was out there. |

| I've lived in the Chicago northwest suburbs for eleven years. I've brought tourists to the city at least twice a year but have never gone on this unique tour until last September. Had it not been for my sleepless nights with my newborn baby, I wouldn't have found it featured on the late night show "190 North".
I couldn't have picked a better tour for my foodie mother who came all the way from Asia. It was a food tour, architectural tour, and a neighborhood tour all rolled into one. We particularly enjoyed the spice & herb specialty shop and the oil and vinegar store.
I only wish they had allowed the group to shop for at least five minutes on each stop. It was really inconvenient to go back, plus we were a bit poofed after walking for three hours.
I'm already planning to go to the Bucktown tour with my husband next year. |
