Heather, our enthusatic and knowledgeable guide, took us out for a stroll on a nice warm spring day (90*). We got a nice tour of the Bucktown/Wicker Park neighborhoods and had a chance to taste some very nice treats. We also learned a little history of the area and were able to see some of the different architectural styles in the area. This is a nice way to discover other parts of Chicago besides the downtown area. This tour is highly recommended and if you can, try to have Heather as your guide. She was awesome....here's to you Mom!! |

This was our 4th or 5th food tour with Chicago Food Planet and we chose to go again because we have always enjoyed the tours we've done. We were not disappointed with this one! Bucktown/Wicker Park has so much fascinating history and great food, too. Two of the spots, George's Hotdogs and The Sultan's Market, were the primary reasons we re-visited this tour. They have unique foods and they are great places to patronize because they are family owned and have been part of their community for years. That said, the other places on the tour were no slouches and we thoroughly enjoyed all of the tastings. We have had great tour guides and Kent did a super job for us on this tour, with his humor and knowledge of the area and enthusiasm for all things Bucktown and Wicker Park. We have seen Michigan Avenue and it does have a lot going for it--but you see a whole different side of Chicago when you take a neighborhood food tour. Chicago Food Planet does a super job of introducing you to places you may not know about, or giving you 'the rest of the story' on places you know. I recommend this tour to tourists and Chicago natives alike, and feel anyone would have a great time eating and learning about these interesting neighborhoods. |

This is a great tour. I have been to downtown Chicago many times but was ready to branch out. You'll take a little tour into the surrounding neighborhoods which was very interesting. I highly recommend taking this affordable tour. |

My wife and I enjoyed our tour of Bucktown/Wicker Park. Our guide, Kent, was friendly and informative as he took us to various restaurants and through the neighborhoods. He spent time describing each restaurant that we went to and provided background information of the area. The food on the tour is very diverse and provided different experiences at each destination. We especially enjoyed the hot chocolate and home-made marshmallow at one of the stops. I enjoyed learning about the history of the area and was glad to get a chance to look at the various homes and buildings. Overall it was a great tour! |

This tour was amazing. I booked it for my mom who was visiting from California to give her a taste of Chicago. My husband and I hadn't tasted anything on the tour. That being said, the food they chose was so great. There was sooo much food. We were all stuffed by the end. Our tour guide was fun. He seemed to know everything about Bucktown/Wicker Park. I would highly recommend this to everyone, even those who have already gone on the tour. Just fun. |

It was a cool and windy day,but a lot of fun. Our guide Kent was great . You could tell he enjoyed what he was doing . There were people from England Delaware and Chicago. Kent spent talking to each group . The architecture was very interesting even being from the area. Look forward to another tour. |
