We had a great time! We had a relative in from out of town. We did a lot of touristy things during the week and this sounded different. Our group had two kids, one 13, one 17. I don't recommend this tour for young children. I think they might get bored. Teens are fine, especially if they're into food.
Some out of towners on our tour did this their last full day. That seems a shame because you might want to come back and try some restaurants that are on the tour or others the guide mentioned.
As a local, I really enjoyed the tour and I loved the fact that the guide gave a lot of info about other restaurants not on the tour. Although I live in the suburbs, I already went back to try Toast, which was mentioned on our tour. It lived up to the description.
Anyway, this was a fun way to see a local neighborhood and get a feel for what makes Chicago great. It is a window into how the locals live. It would balance out all the typical touristy Chicago things that one might do here. |

After going on the Gold Coast/Lincoln Park tour one day, we decided that we had enjoyed it so much that we would take this tour the next day. We were not disappointed!
Our guide, Jess, was friendly, funny, and informative. The selection of food stops was varied and, I felt, very representative of the neighborhoods we were in. This tour is a wonderful choice for everyone including families as all the stops offered tastings that would appeal to all ages.. The history and architecture were fascinating and it was great fun to learn about two more of Chicago's diverse neighborhoods! We would highly recommend this activity! |

We did the Wicker Park/Bucktown food tour and really enjoyed it. My sis was visiting from Florida and I have been living in Chicago for about 6 months, so we decided to explore a different area of the city. Our guide was Kent, and he was a wealth of information on the neighborhoods we walked through. He was actually a Wicker Park resident so gave us great insight into the history of the area. The stops on the tour were nicely spaced out with walking so you weren't constantly eating. A few of the stops seemed a little rushed but overall it was a good pace. Also, the order of the stops was great, going from savory to sweet, beverages and foods, and of course ending with iceceream!!
This tour was worth the money, you learn fun history and the food was very tasty! |

I've been living in Chicago for a while and had friends coming in to visit from out of town. This tour was great because it showcased a cool neighborhood I had never been to and also entertained my friends. It was nice to do something that wasn't uber touristy around the usual places. I had greatly enjoyed the other Old Town/Lincoln Park tour that this company offers and was not disappointed by the Wicker Park/Bucktown tour. This tour had even more food than the other one! Our tour guide was fabulous and told us great stories all along the tour. I can't recommend this tour enough!! |

We had a great guide (Curt?) who was very well spoken and knew the area very well. The food was outstanding and plentiful! Enjoyed hearing the history of the area as well as background information on the restaurants. Thank you so much. Would love to do another one! |

My husband and I went on this tour our 1st day in Chicago. We both loved it and felt like it started our trip off better then expected. Helped us get to know Chicago neighborhoods on a personal level, made us feel comfortable in the area, and introduced us to hidden treasures we would have never found on our own! Highly recommend this. Wonderful food, interesting history facts, great tour guide and group, so glad we did this!!! Did I say the food was AMAZING!!! |

The only drawback was the heat. Best not to go when weather is in the 90's!!! |
