NOT wheelchair friendly

One member of our party was in a wheelchair, and we called ahead to ensure that the tour would be wheelchair friendly. We were assured that it was, but it definitely was not. The spaces within each food location were small and cramped, and the tour leader made absolutely NO attempt to accomodate the wheelchair. He was actually quite rude. The food was good, but we were given zero time to look around the stores. I would suggest cutting out a lot of the architectural information and allowing 5-10 minutes for shopping at the locations with merchandise available.

We had a great time. All the food was delicious and bigger portions that we expected. Living in the city and learning new things about our beautiful city was just icing on the cake. I would highly recommend this tour and I am looking forward to trying the other one.

Our tour was guided by Sofie and she did an amazing job! It was a really fun mix of tasty treats, local history and architectural tib-bits. We even had the owner of one of the beautiful, historical houses come out during the tour and talk about his home. What fun neighborhoods! Sultan's falafel was absolutely amazing and iCream made for the perfect ending to the tour. I would definitely go on the tour again and will look into the other tours offered!

I'm a Youth Minister from Georgia and we had a team of 8 youth (15 and 16 year olds) and 4 adults in Chicago doing some inner-city missions and we had a free day before our flight back to Saturday. I was looking for something that would be appealing and different for our group to do and I came across this website for the Bucktown/Wicker Food tasting tour and signed our group up. I told the kids and adults and they were SO excited!!! When we got there our tour guide Ben was awesome and the stops along the way were incredible. He did a great job talking about all the architecture and the history of the Bucktown/Wicker area. We stopped at 6 places and everyone had something that they liked! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone with teenagers or just as a couple or individual. It was a lot of fun and a great experience!

Colleen provided an entertaining and interesting introduction to bucktown and wicker park. We enjoyed each food tasting for it's good flavor and history. We enjoyed meetin g the other folks on the tour as well. I've shared our experience w Chicaho residents. They remarked the places we visited were excellent and were very interested in the tour idea. No one had heard of it before.

My sister and I really enjoyed the event. Kent was our guide and he provided us with information about each tasting stop and the community. It was entertaining and educational!! I can't wait to do the north side tour in the spring.
