Great Tour

Great, informative tour with LOTS of food to eat. We were all stuffed & had more than enough to cover lunch. Our tour guide, Carrie, was super friendly & knowledgeable. It wasn't a great amount of walking & the little architectural stops along the way were impressive & informative. Group was mixed; ranged from 23-65; a few older couples & small groups of friends. Very comfortable sized groups. Definitely recommend the tour to anyone.

This tour was one of the best I have been on. I grew up in the Chicagoland area and this was new, fun and different! It was like an interactive travel channel show and you got to try the food! Loved that history of the area and each restaurant was described. I would definatly do another one of these food tours. I have already recommended this tour to many people/friends/family in Chicago as well as in Texas.

This tour was SO fun. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and really friendly. All of the stops we made on the tour were really great. Hot Chocolate was AMAZING, we loved it so much. The tour also included historical homes in the area which were also really cool to see. Never would have known about some of the places if we hadn't taken the tour. Completely worth the money.

I loved everything we did, and part of that is because our tour guides were just so knowledgable and friendly. The hot chocolate was to die for. The pizza was a let-down but the beer amazing. Best falafel ever. I highly recommend this tour. Wish I had been able to get a discount though - I should have been checking groupon!

I am now in love with the medium hot chocolate at Hot Chocolate. It was so good, and homemade marshmallows, yummy! We enjoyed this tour alot. There was more food than I had imagined. The walking pace was great, it was nice to see the old homes and try all the foods. Thanks for the great time!

This tour was very informative. The tour guide pointed out other restaurants along the route that I otherwise had never noticed before. We went to places I had seen from the street previously but just never got around to trying. All of the food was delicious and it was fun to interact with tourist from outside the city to see what they enjoyed about Chicago. I highly recommend this to locals or those tourists who are looking for something 'off the beaten path'.

A lot of great food and neighborhood history

We are from Los Angeles and we had a terrific time on the Bucktown/Wicker Park tour. We consider ourselves foodies and were definitely not disappointed except for the pizza at Piece which is Connecticut style not Chicago, so be warned. The marshmallow at Hot Chocolate was unlike any marshmallow you have ever tasted, so that turned out to be the highlight then the hot dog at George's then the ice cream at icream which was also unlike anything you have ever experienced because of the liquid nitrogen used to make the delicious create your own flavor ice cream with something like 267,000 possible flavor combinations. We will definitely try the Near North tour the next time we are in Chicago.

Great tour for Chicago food and culture

I'd recommend this tour and would suggest that every metropolitan have something similar! It gives a real flavor of local restaurants/cuisine and a look into Chicago home architecture within 3 hours. By the end of it, you feel like you've accomplished a lot -- even though you've only seen one neighborhood. The tour guide was extremely enthusiastic, nice and and a pleasure to walk around with; however, I would suggest that the tour guides gain more insight to Chicago as a whole so that they are better equipped to answer questions outside of the one neighborhood. It felt a bit scripted by giving us facts and details and not being able to answer other generic questions. Perhaps it was just our tour guide though. In any case, I highly recommend the tour. Halfway through it you feel too stuffed to eat anything else. Some say to eat breakfast beforehand, but I was thankful that I hadn't.

We enjoyed our tour of Bucktown/Wickerpark. We had participated in the North tour last year and both tours are excellent. It's a great way to experience the city.
