Eating like a local

Our tour guide Sophie, did an oustanding job. The tour took us to places we would have never found and gave us the back stories to appreciate them. She allowed us to have a much better understanding of the neighborhood, it's history and it's culture. The residential architecture discussion was interesting too. Great tour!

I didn't feel all the food was remarkable but it was all good. As a local, I'll keep a couple of the places in mind for future dining out plans. The guide was enthusiastic and her stories about the neighborhood were interesting and amusing.

Guide (Kent) was enthusiastic and informative. Food was especially good at I Cream and Hot Chocolate but also at Sultan's and Piece. The tour was nicely paced as well and always moving. No dead time at all. Steve

Kent was a personable and praiseworthy guide throughout our Bucktown/ Wicker Park foodie tour. We arrived back at our hotel with very full tummies and also full of knowledge regarding this revitalized area.

Perfect tour for locals and out-of-towners

I've lived in Chicago for 14 years and was looking for something different to do with my parents who were visiting on a Tuesday. Their visits always revolve around food, so this was the perfect choice. As a local, I had already been to 4 out of the 6 establishments on the tour yet I wanted to walk away from the tour having tried something new, and more importantly, learn more about the neighborhood that I've called home for the past 5 years. Done and Done. The food tastings were perfectly portioned and timed nicely for the 3 hour tour, and the amount of walking in between was just right. My parents loved everything they tasted and were excited about knowing more about the neighborhood options for the next time they're in town. And for me, my limited neighborhood knowledge grew exponentially while getting to sample some of my favorite foods.

A Terrific Tour

This was a terrific food and neighborhood tour that exceeded my expectations. We are a group of 7 friends from all over the country who met in Chicago for a girls' week. Everyone said this was by far the best outing we took. The food tastings were varied and delicious and the portions, generous. We particularly enjoyed learning about the two neighborhoods and walking the business and residential streets. Our guide Kent was both knowledgeable and entertaining; we thoroughly enjoyed him. For another view of Chicago away from the well publicized museums, lakefront, and shopping opportunites, I would highly recommend this tour.
