Bucktown/Wicker Park Food Tasting & Cultural Tour

Good historical and present look at these areas. Guide pointed out hot spots and we sampled the local cuisine. Great if you are looking to return to the area for some food and night life at a later date.

For something different and fun to do, definitely sign up for a tour. The food was great, the tour was fun, and it was a nice way to spend 3 hours in a new city. All of the guys were nice and made you feel at home. Really enjoyed getting to know Wicker Park/Bucktown. Thanks Ben!

It was a beautiful Fall Saturday afternoon when a friend and I went on this tour. Our guide, ( I think his name was Brad), did an excellent job describing the history of the neighborhoods and telling us interesting facts about the restaurants. This is something you really do not want to miss! It would be nice if the restaurants changed every year so that you could experience other hidden places in these neighborhoods. I also went on the Lincoln Park tour and found it to be just as wonderful.

In addition to the food tour, we also got a little bit of a "neighborhood tour" of Wicker park which was a bonus. It was nice to learn the history of the area to appreciate the foods from the area more.

I signed my boyfriend and I up for this tour as part of his birthday present. Upon signing up, I didn't realize that we would be given as much information on the history of the neigborhoods, and wondered how we would fill up three hours. I was very pleasantly surprised at how informative the tour was, since I had not spent much time in the Wicker Park/Bucktown area prior to doing the tour. The food was also amazing! I was very full at the end of the tour, which was also more than I expected, since the description suggested we would only be getting a 'tasting', which made me think it was a small sample. But the food was great, and it made me want to go back for more! I especially appreciated teh variety of food that was provided. Finally, our tour guide was excellent. He was very enthusiastic and able to answer any questions our group had. I have been recommending this tour to everyone I've told about it. Hopefully I will get a chance to do the near north tour someday.

This was our first food tasting tour and we loved it! I thought it was a well developed tour. The tour guide had a comfortable demeanor, yet he did well at managing the group. Most importantly, he was full of interesting information. I loved the unique places we ate and the history of the establishments told to us. The architecture and neighborhood information was a great mix with the tastings. I recommend the tour.

Excellent tour which incorporated food tastings with an informative tour of an interesting neighbourhood of Chicago you might not otherwise see. The food was good and the tour guide enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend the tour but don't have a big breakfast!!

I would recommend this to everyone who is interested in trying some different foods and seeing and learning about the restaurants and also the neighborhoods. I was very enlightened with the variety of food samplings and you definitely get your money's worth when it comes to the samples!!

My parents and I had a wonderful time on this tour!!! I live in the Chicago area, and had been to most of these places, but it was still fun to try new things and also learn about the area that I live in! Our guide- Ben was wonderful! He was so personable and made the tour even more fun! I would highly reccommend this tour for both locals and for people visiting Chicago. You learn a lot and are able to try so many wonderful restaurants! Our favorite was Hot Chocolate and icream. my least favorite was Greek Goddess and the Grocer- the past salad was average.

Had a great time with Kent our host. Our party of 15 was areal mix but everyone was put a ease by Kent. Great itinary and host. Would love to do this every week.
