Great Food and History Tour
Sat, Jul 25  12:30 PM dkug50 Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked this tour, but it exceeded my expectations. Our guides did an excellent job of not only giving us historical information of the tour sites, they also gave us a lot of additional information of the Bucktown/Wicker Park area. One of the highlights for me was a walk down Pierce Street with it's rich architecture. The only disappointment for me was the Green Goddess Grocery--nothing special in the food there.

Great food, great fun & we learned something too!!

We had family in from out-of-town for the weekend, and thought this would be a lot of fun. We were not disappointed! Our group ranged in age from 11 to 60 and there was truly something that everyone enjoyed. It was a beautiful day, although it did get a little warm at times and I was glad that I brought some water with me. Our tour was during the height of Wicker Park Fest which was an experience all its own. We were thankful that we brought cameras since we walked through neighborhoods with some beautiful and very interesting homes. All of the food was great, and our guide Carrie was very knowledgable of the area. We look forward to going back to these neighborhoods to do some further exploration on our own. I went on the Near North tour last year and loved that one as well. Although I am in hopes that they will open a new tour at some point in the future, I would happily go on either of these tours again!

Great Food Experience In Chicago
Sat, Jul 25  12:00 PM SharonDarga Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
Beginning with the perfect Chicago-style hot dog, and ending with the yummiest ice cream I have ever had, this was a wonderful food experience. It was a great mix of exploring the neighborhoods in the area with the history of it all well explained by our knowledgeable tour guide. All in all a great experience.

My sister and I went on this tour on our last day of our Chicago vacation. It was great! We learned so much about the neighborhood from our guide, Kent along with trying such a great variety of foods. I will definitely schedule the other tour tour this company offers next time I am in Chicago.

Another side of Chicago not to be missed! A tour that lets you discover some great places to eat with enough food served that your husband and teenagers won't mind coming along. Interesting architecture too! Friendly and informative guide.

If you love to try new restaurants and learn about old neighborhoods, this tour is for you. We went to a few new young hip places to eat and a few that have been around for some time. If I had to pick a favorite, I think it would have to be I-Cream. Very innovative and very fun! Even though I live in the suburbs, I will come back for I-cream! We had all ages in our group and it was very fun!

This was a great tour. Loved the food venues chosen, the walking tour of the neighborhood was great seeing the changes that have taken place. Our tour guide did a super job - was very informative, nice persoanlity, and kept everybody on track. Went on both tours of Food Planet and would love to go on more in the different neihborhoods around the City. Hope you can come up with more for next year. Keep up the great work!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Wicker Park/Bucktown. Kent was our guide and he was very knowledgeable about the area- kept my 15 yr old's interest for the entire tour. The food was fabulous- do not eat before the tour!! It was really interesting to tour the homes and learn how the area had changed over the years. Not to be missed!!

Interesting neighborhood with great food

I loved the info on the neighborhood and its history. I liked learning about the "famous" chefs we have (I live in Bucktown). Food was great although a little too much for me. I should have eaten half the hot dog! A little shopping mixed into the tour would be nice too but overall, it was terrific and I'd recommend it to others.

My friends and I all loved learning about the two neighborhoods Wicker Park and Bucktown. None of us knew anything about either one. Our guide Kyle was very informative and kept us entertained the entire 3 hours. And the food...WOW...come hungry. Everything was delicious.
