We were a group of friends who visit Chicago every summer. We took the other food tour in Gold Coast/Lincoln Park two years ago and loved it. So we thought we would give this one a try. We were not disappointed. Kent (with his pink tennis shoes) was a wonderful escort. The food was all so creative, new, and wonderfully tasty! We especially liked the chocolate drink and the I-cream. None of us had ever had anything like them. Everyone who visits Chicago should give this tour a try! |

We really enjoyed the tour. Our guide Kent was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited. We really loved the focus on architecture and the changing demographics of the area. The food was great and filling!! We could not eat it all and took some away for later. |

My wife and I agree that this tour was the highlight of our trip to Chicago. Our tour guide, Kent, never stopped talking. He shared his architectural knowledge, restaurant reviews, history of the neighborhoods and personal experiences with great ease. All of the food we had from the Chicago dogs, iced chocolate drink, pasta salad, pizza and beer, falafel, and ice cream was excellent and enough for lunch and dinner. You can expect that we will pass our praises onto everyone we know that plan to visit Chicago. Thanks and we will see you again.
As an afterthought, when the weather is hot, you might want to suggest that people bring bottled water. We did, but others did not. |

We had a very leisurely and casual stroll around neighborhood streets with our guide Kent providing fun and interesting facts . The food was appetizing and filling, maybe even a little too filling. Be sure to eat breakfast early so you'll you'll have room. With that said, I must comment on the fact that at $44 pp, I think it's a bit high. Maybe cut that back $5? Still, a great tour and I got some nice pictures of some period houses along the way. |

This was the best experience of our trip to Chicago. We loved this tour! Kent was our guide and he was fantastic. He was so informative and knowledgable. Plus he made it fun! The places we visited were true Chicago places that you read about and never get to see. This section of Chicago is so packed with things to see and places to eat, that you could spend a great deal of time there and still not see it all.
I would HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone who likes to eat and sample new things, and also to anyone who enjoys walking and seeing the different types of architecture.
I would definitely take another walking food tour on my next trip to Chicago..
These guys are great! |

We chose this tour on a whim after seeing an ad on the internet and it turned out to be a really good decision. Kent, our guide, took us to out-of-the way spots where we were able to sample a variety of regional foods. My 13-year old granddaughter had a great time and actually ate and enjoyed foods that we could never get her to touch at home! By the way, she ranked it as "almost as good as the Harry Potter exhibition" - a pretty good rating from someone her age!. Kent is also extremely knowledgeable about local history which made our walk through the neighborhood educational as well as delicious. This was a fun tour and we would definitely consider it again next time we're in Chicago. |

Get out of the city: it's an easy trip on the EL from Clark/Lake Blue Line station, 4 stops towards O'Hare . Chicago is the most wonderful city for EATS, and Bucktown/Wicker was not a disappointment. I've been to Chicago several times for conventions and it has been too easy to get locked into the downtown scene. This trip I was determined to explore more, to take a step outside the Loop & Mag Mile. This tour was a great choice: foods from award-winning chefs/restaurants, leisurely exercise, verbal history of the neighborhoods, entertainment (clever guide) -- a great combination. One of the other group members had been on the Near North tour. She said there was more food on the B/W tour than NN, but she raved about the spice store on the NN tour. I intend to do NN next time I'm in ChiTown -- and hopefully go back to B/W to experience the fun neighborhood shopping as well as a long list (provided by our guide) of other restaurants in the area. |

A good way to learn about out of the way Chicago dining and drinking establishments. Sample and learn about good food and interesting dining establishments. Learn about the neighborhood and its history. A good time at a casual pace. |

Kent was a great tour guide. In 3 hours, I got to taste a Chicago hotdog (and learn what makes it a Chicago hotdog), thin crust pizza, delicious and smooth hot chocolate with a homemade marshmallow, super granola and 2 wonderful pieces of chocolate truffle. mmmmgood. Oh, yes, I did enjoy the history of Bucktown and Wicker Park. Definitely recommend this tour. |
