This was truely at food tour, the portions were full portions for most of the tastes. I tried food I never would normally have tried and it was all really good. Kent our guide was excellent and provided a very throughal background of the places. It was nice to take a walk around the neighboorhoods to work off all the food we ate. The houses we saw were very beautiful. I would highly recommond this tour.

My family and I participated in the tour on the basis of reading about it on Trip Advisor. We chose the Bucktown tour as we thought it would give us an insight on an area we wouldn't otherwise visit, plus we liked the sound of the eateries! Ben our tour guide was a very enthusiastic, likeable person who obviously enjoyed what he was doing and most importantly knew his subject. It was a very relaxed environment, and the tour was taken at a very relaxed pace, especially as we had a few of the older generation with us! However, this was not a problem as it was a hot afternoon and we were quite happy to keep a slower pace. The food provided was excellent and plentiful, in fact we were all not very hungry for dinner in the evening. Take out bags were provided if required. Overall, I would recommend this tour to all ages and in fact next time we are in Chicago we will definitely do the other tour offered. Well done Ben!

A Good Time and a Lot to Eat!!

We were a group of friends who visit Chicago every summer. We took the other food tour in Gold Coast/Lincoln Park two years ago and loved it. So we thought we would give this one a try. We were not disappointed. Kent (with his pink tennis shoes) was a wonderful escort. The food was all so creative, new, and wonderfully tasty! We especially liked the chocolate drink and the I-cream. None of us had ever had anything like them. Everyone who visits Chicago should give this tour a try!

We really enjoyed the tour. Our guide Kent was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited. We really loved the focus on architecture and the changing demographics of the area. The food was great and filling!! We could not eat it all and took some away for later.

One not to miss...

I selected this tour after reading reviews at www.touradvisor.com, and since it is the #1 rated tour, it was not a difficult decision. Being somewhat familiar with Lincoln Park, I decided to sign us up for the Bucktown/Wicker Park tour, so we could experience something new, and what was described as a fun, unique and eclectic part of Chicago. It certainly did not disappoint! Our tour guide, Kent ,did a fabulous job of showing our group of 10 all the sights and tastes of the area, and teaching us about the history that makes this place such a treasure to discover. We quickly regretted sharing granola bars before the tour began, since it started right off with an authentic Chicago Hot Dog. That, along with the "to-die-for" iced "hot" chocolate, pasta salad, pizza, beer, falafel sandwich and ice cream that were to come, were all outstanding! We were stuffed by the time we got to the sandwich, but were given sacks so we could take them with us. It was all fabulous, but the innovative ice cream store was the most interesting thing I've seen in a long time! It was fascinating! The historic neighborhoods, with homes dating back to the 1800's, and the interesting facts that Kent shared with us about them and their owners were intriquing. I can't wait for our out-of-state guests to visit in August, so we can take the Lincoln Park tour! We all had a fantastic time, and highly recommend this tour!

If you tired of shopping and want something different try both of the food tours. Great if you are by yourself and want something to do as the groups are always alot of fun. Interesting to see different parts of the city and try local food.

Wicker Park Food Tour

My wife and I enjoyed the food tour tremendously. The food was great and varied, but the best part was the information provided by Ben who was enthusiastic, personable and knowledgable. While we have been to Chicago before, we have never taken part in an activity that provided the information in this way. We can't wait to come back to take the other tour!

Good Fun, Good Food!

Despite the pouring down rain, we had a fantastic afternoon with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide ( the lovely Ben!). As well as finding out and tasting a great variety of food, we learnt about the Chicago neighbourhoods, architecture and history. Nice touches, like introducing all members of the tour and small numbers in the group. Good info from Ben about other tourist opportunities in the city, which we asked him about rather than him offering. Don't eat breakfast before you go on this tour!!!!!! Excellent value for money folks, would go again and would recommend to friends and family.
