What impressed me most about this tour was how well it engaged both locals and tourists as well as foodies and casual eaters. Easily the best time and money I spent in Chicago.

We have an exchange student from Indonesia and wanted to do something outside of the normal tourist activities. This was a perfect fit for what we wanted to do - all of us learned something new, enjoyed some great food and experienced a new part of Chicago.

This tour was a great way to become familiar with the Wicker Park/ Bucktown area especially if you're staying downtown. Tons of unique restaurants are pointed out during the tour. I wish I had had more time to go into a few for breakfast, lunch or dinner so do the tour in the beginning of your stay because you will want to go back. In some of the restaurants on the tour you really do only get a "tasting" of the food but you also get to tour the neighborhood and see some beautiful houses to give your belly a break. At the end of the tour I recommend staying in the area and doing some shopping at the cute boutiques also. Overall, the food was good, the tour guide was good and it was a fun way to see Chicago! If you like food, do it!!

We just went on the Bucktown/Wicker Park tour and it was fabulous. Despite the rain, we had a wonderful time trying new food and learning about the history and architecture of the area. Ben was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable about the area he did an excellent job. I would recommend this to anyone whether you live in the city, suburbs, or are on vacation, it is a lot of fun.

The tour was fun. It was a wonderful way of seeing Bucktown and Wicker Park. Our tour guide Kent was outstanding. The food choices were fantastic. I plan on recommending this tour to all of my friends that visit Chicago.

This is why we travel - to meet sympathetic, enthusiastic locals sharing their favorite spots all of which involve food! A great way to see more of a great city.

We particularly enjoyed the walk through the residential neighborhood to learn about it's architecture and history. The food tastings were very nice. The favorites were the Hot Chocolate Restaurant and the Icream Cafe. Hot dogs, pizza and beer and the Middle Eastern Deli were treats and all so very different from one another. I would leave out the Goddess & Grocer. While lots of great deli food there, the 4 pieces of macaroni (mac salad) in a cup were hardly worth listening to the 5 minute commercial on the place. Our guide, Ken, was very good. If you're looking for an activity that is a little different and are curious about history and architecture and food, this is for you.

I've been going to Bucktown/Wicker Park for shopping, art festivals, dining, etc. for years - but mostly to the same tried and true places. The tour took me to places I might not have tried - and which I fell in love with (and dragged my husband back to the following day!). Not only did I 'discover' some new restaurants and some great new flavors (along with some stellar architecture and history!), but I also 'discovered' some new shops. I ended up staying 3 hours after the tour was over and did my part to stimulate the economy! I HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone who likes to eat and who lives in a building! (Seriously, I had high expectations based on an article I'd read in Chicago magazine, but the tour surpassed those expectations by a long shot! I LOVED it!)

This is the 2nd food tour I have been on - I loved both of them. The tour guide (Kari) was so much fun and so knowledgeable about whatever she was showing us. The food was so delicious and the architecture was absolutely lovely! There was so much food - maybe a little more walking would be good on the Wicker Park tour. I wish you would add another tour - we're coming back next year and will certainly go on it again! We all loved it!
