Bucktown/Wicker Park Food Tasting & Cultural Tour

We really didn't have any expectations with this tour, so we were really happy with not only the food and tour guide, but also the tour itself. We decided on this tour to learn more about the Wicker Park/Bucktown area and we definitely were able to accomplish this. The tour guide provided a lot of background on the area including both the history and the cultural feel. Word to the wise...COME HUNGRY!!! We expected to get small portions or samples of the food and were pleasantly surprised to get full hot dogs and large slices of pizza. All of the food was delicious and we will definitely be heading back not only to this area but to a lot of the featured restaurants. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the area and more about great restaurants in Chicago!

We only had 2 days to spend in Chicago, and this gave us the small neighborhood experience vs. the downtown shopping and sites. Every restaurant on the list was top knotch and the tasting portions were much more generous than expected. Lots of fun and interesting info was given by our guide, Lisa. She was really energetic, knowledgeable and appeared to live in the area - she personally knew lots of people we ran into during the tour. Our relatives we went with have lived in the outer Chicago area for 20+ years, and they were really impressed as well. I would definitely recommend this and will do it again in the future!

Our guide , Carrie was wonderful! She was very knowledgeable about the neighborhoods and the homes we stopped and talked about. I really liked that we visited 3 restaurants, took a break from the food and went on a walking tour of the area. We finished off with three more great food tasting. Never felt rushed , and all the restaurants had a place for the tour group to sit and enjoy their tastings. (except the pizza place. they were too busy). Overall, I loved it. I look forward to doing another Food Planet tour.

Kent our tour guide was very knowlegable about the food that was tasted and also on the area in which we were walking in. All of my party (me, my wife and 2 kids aged 15 & 18), ate everything. That's saying alot for my 15 year old who is a picky eater. It was quite a diverse cross section of food. Going from an official Chicago hot dog at George's to a salad the Goddesses. The homemade marshmellow at Hot Chocolate was to die for. This coming from people who live not that far from where Fluff is made. Definately would take this tour again.

The tour and Kyle did not disappoint. Food was great, tour guide was fun, interesting and organized. We had a beautiful day and enjoyed if very much.

Enjoyable, but not earth-shattering.

Absolutely LOVED our Bucktown/Wicker Park tasting tour!!! Carrie was awesome and very informative!! This was our 4th trip to Chicago and the Food Tour leads the highlight reel!!

Food tour was great. Food was great the guide was pretty knowledgeable of the food and the surrounding areas. Had a blast with the other people on the tour. Got to meet people from out of country and a couple of locals. Highly recommend this tour to everyone.

There was a nice variety and quality of food on the tour. Our guide, Kent, was well informed and entertaining. We felt the tour was well the worth the money, and a wonderful way to learn a little bit about the Chicago area.
