A memorable experience with a wonderful variety of food tastings. We also very much enjoyed the walk through the residential areas. The only downside to this experience was our tour was on a Saturday and many of the establishments were very crowded. Tour guide Ben did an excellent job.

Incredible Food & History - A Must Do!

This is the ultimate tour for people that enjoy visiting cities for their "feel" instead of doing the typical crowded tourist draws. I'd recommend going on this tour early in your trip - you feel like you having an Chicago local tell you secrets about all the best spots to go in the neighborhood. You WILL want to go back to many of the places they take you to and point out. Not only do you get the inside scoop on where to go, but you also get plenty of great food (go hungry!) and architectural history.

A Terrific Tour

This was a terrific food and neighborhood tour that exceeded my expectations. We are a group of 7 friends from all over the country who met in Chicago for a girls' week. Everyone said this was by far the best outing we took. The food tastings were varied and delicious and the portions, generous. We particularly enjoyed learning about the two neighborhoods and walking the business and residential streets. Our guide Kent was both knowledgeable and entertaining; we thoroughly enjoyed him. For another view of Chicago away from the well publicized museums, lakefront, and shopping opportunites, I would highly recommend this tour.

Tour guide was fantastic, food places visited gave us a variety of different kinds of food, too much to eat in fact. Architectural tour nice also, but give me the food anytime.

Eat your way through Chicago

The food was excellent and we learned a lot about the history of Chicago. Our tour guide Sophie was entertaining and informative and had a great attitude. She shared insteresting information about the restaurants, owners and the chefs. I had the best falafel I have ever eaten on this tour and had my first expereince of a Chicago style hot dog. The beverage from Hot Chocolate was amazing, words cannot describe how tasty it was. We even purchased a mix to take home to Columbus. Of my travel companions, only one of us had ever lived in Chicago. She said this was a great activity to do to experience the Chicago culture. She even learned a few things and discovered places she never knew about. Two thumbs enthusiastically up for this tour. Next time we are in Chicago we plan on doing the Near North Food Tour.

This was a very fun tour! Our group thoroughly enjoyed it and would participate again. The guide was very knowledgeable about the area and could answer any questions the group had. It was interesting to get away from the city just a bit and see the neighborhoods. This was our first trip to Chicago so we loved every minute of it! Highly recommend taking this tour.

Having visited downtown Chicago before, we wanted to try to explore other neighborhoods, so this tour was the perfect outing. Ben, our tour guide, was very enthusiastic and friendly with the group, giving us great tidbits and comments on the history of the neighborhood and architecture. Definitely a must...and ask for BEN!
