It's one of the most fun things we did!

This is the 2nd food tour I have been on - I loved both of them. The tour guide (Kari) was so much fun and so knowledgeable about whatever she was showing us. The food was so delicious and the architecture was absolutely lovely! There was so much food - maybe a little more walking would be good on the Wicker Park tour. I wish you would add another tour - we're coming back next year and will certainly go on it again! We all loved it!

Didn't feel welcome at the establishments

There was a lot of shuffling around. When we arrived, we were directed to wait inside George's, then we were brought outside for the welcome speech, and then went BACK inside to eat. Similar experience at iCream -- we started in the back, then went to the front to watch the machines, then BACK to the back for samples. As for food, George's dogs are good, but it would be nice to have an option on the hot dog toppings. Loved Hot Chocolate, but felt like we were intruding on other diners' space. Pasta salad at Goddess & Grocer was an odd choice, and we were crowded in the back by the cash register instead of being offered the table in front. Since Chicago is known for its deep-dish pizza, why have thin crust at Piece? Sultan's Market people were friendly and the food was good. iCream has a delicious product, but the owner didn't even make eye contact or acknowledge we were there. Our guide was a little goofy and overly dramatic (our college-student nephew and his friend thought so too). A friend had recommended this tour, but I couldn't do the same. Maybe she had a different guide.

This is the second tour my daughter and I have gone on with Chicago Food Planet and I would highly recommend them. Our guide, Jessie, was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and we enjoyed visiting neighborhoods and restaurants that we hadn't been to before. We are not from the Chicago area and this gave us an opportunity to get out of the tourist areas and see some other areas of the city.

Wish more communities had this tour....

This tour was taken by our family composed of our adult children and spouses and one grandchild (1 year old) to celebrate a birthday. It was a rainy, cold day in Chicago and we were hesitant about walking around in poor weather. From the start at George's hot dog stand, we were excited to hear about the food and the town. Carrie did a great job telling location history, chef's background, interesting food facts, and local architecture. It became a fun adventure and one we will always remember. But a warning....there is soooo much food....take it easy to get it all in! Well worth the cost and the time.

This is a phenomenal tour and a really good way to see a Chicago neighborhood that you might not otherwise visit. Ben is the best guide you could want to learn about the food you eat, the restaurants you visit, the architecture along the way and the neighborhoods you walk through. I highly recommend this - except for little kids. I think 3 hours worth might get boring for them. Our group was a mix of mid 20's through late 60's and everyone seemed to be having a good time from start to finish. What did I learn?Do NOT ask for ketchup on a Chicago hot dog. (and homemade marshmallows are unbelievably delicious)

Live in the city and still found the experience extremely interesting and entertaining. I think anyone who likes to try different types of food and learning about Bucktown and Wicker Park would really enjoy this tour. Tour guide was very entertaining and a wealth of knowledge.

The whole activity was done wonderfully. The food stops were very interesting and varied. The walk was the right length. The tour guide was nice, informative and fun. The price was reasonable. I have been recommending it to people right and left since I went. I am very interested in trying some of your other tours based on this one.

Highly suggest to bring or buy a beverage for the tour. Would have kille dfor the french fries wiwth the Dog. Way to chocolatey at chocolate, a waste for them. Pizza was good a abundant, Mediterranean was a bit rushed and too much food after where we had been. Always room for I Cream! that was great. Very informative, enthusiastic tour guide.
