Good cultural tour and GREAT food tour

We selected this tour for the tasting experiences and we were delighted. We started out with an opportunity to try out the real Chicago Hot Dog (which was very good indeed). Then, we were flabbergasted with the BEST Hot Chocolate we ever tasted in our whole life. We also had the chance to taste local beer along with a New Haven thin pizza and both were delicious. BUT the best feature in this tour was our visit to iCream cafe. This was a UNIQUE yet ASTONISHING experience. I never imagined tasting such a fresh and unusually flavoured ice cream. If I was living in Chicago, I would be addicted to this place. The only downside to this tour was the Granola cup that was given to us at the beginning of the tour. We did not visit this restaurant (just passed by) so we were disappointed. I would recommend they change this spot for another one if they can't accomodate the visitors inside their business in the middle of the afternoon. The cultural tour was also interesting and our guide (Kent) explained us many things about the Wicker Park and Bucktown areas. Great tour, great selection of restaurants and solid knowledge of the Bucktown / Wicker Park areas' history by the tour guide.

Perfect balance of food sampling, walking and history. Only regret is that we didn't have time to do the other one.

This was so incredible! I've lived in Illinois all my life and have been to Chicago a million times, but never like this. Our guide was awesome, food was fantastic and just had an overall great time! Definitely worth the price, I don't think I ate dinner that night!

Our group of 4 did not know what to expect of this tour, but we were all surprised at how much fun it was. Kari was our guide and what a joy it was to have her. The food portions were plentiful and no one should go home hungry. We are looking forward to trying another tour and have been recommending it to everyone we know.

I am really glad that I choose this walking tour. The restaurants were great. All of them were local to the Bucktown/Wicker Park area. As we went from restaurant to restaurant we were given a quick history of buildings and houses in the area. I really enjoy this part because we got to know the neighborhood as a whole instead of just the foodie aspect. Our tour guide was enthusiastic which made everyone in our group a little bit more excited to be there. The weather was horrible, but everything else was great!

We took a food tour in NYC and now when we travel anywhere that is the first thing we look for. We were not disappointed with this one. Lisa was our guide and she was full of knowledge on the history of the area. We went to 6 restaurants and each was great. We were not hungry in the least. One of the highlights was the original Chicago hot dog. We really enjoyed it. Also the hot chocolate at a place called Hot Chocolate. They made their own marshmallows which was very interesting and yummy. I brought a bottle of water since I usually need to drink a lot with food but there was water available at a couple of stops. We did walk quite a bit so wear comfortable shoes. There are restrooms available at a couple of stops too. I will take the other 2 food tours offered at a later date. They were awesome.
