What a fun day!

Overall, it was a great afternoon. The weather was perfect and our guide Kent was great. We learned so much about the area and all the food places we stopped at were a treat. The only suggestion I would have to enhance the experience (and I realize it would add about a half hour to the tour) would be to spend 5 to 10 additional minutes at the stops where we had a chance to sit. I realize the tour is billed as food on the move, but I think the extra time would give a little more time to enjoy the food stop and converse with some of the others on the tour. Other than that, keep up the good work! And I have definitely been spreading favorable word of mouth reviews to my family and friends.

Wicker Park Tour a great experience

We joined the tour at George's Hot Dog (not sure if I have the name right) and spent a great 3 hours with our group and our tour guide Ben. At first the price seemed a little high but this is more than a walking tour. We had a nice array of tasty treats, a tour of the neighbourhood including commercial and residential areas, a sampling of typical Chicago architecture (small/local scale as opposed to the grandeur of downtown) and small doses of history mixed into our walk. In the end we felt it was very worthwhile and a good value. The Chicago hot dog, the chocolate drink with marshmallow (rated no 1 by our group) the antipasto treat, the falafel, the pizza and the ice cream were all great stops along the way and gave us a "taste of Chicago" and the neighbourhood. The pace was great, our tour guide friendly and informative (and a cool dude at that) and the time flew by as we toured the area, taking in shops, restaurants, homes, parks etc. The only thing to be concerned about is making sure you know where you are going when you head out to meet the group. We came from downtown and while we had no problem, it took some planning on our part and we left a little extra time which turned out to be needed. If you are looking for something different, a break from the hustle and bustle of downtown, and want to learn more about Chicago, take this tour. We highly recommend this leisurely walk and if we get back to Chicago, we would take another Chicago Foods tour without hesitation. Thanks Ben!

This was my second tour with the same great tourguide, Kent. He is so enthusiastic and a wealth of knowledge. He has a great sense of humor and makes the experience so much fun. The places where we ate were all 4 star to me. We learned alot about the area and it was relaxing and pressure-free. I can only say I would like more and more. I have told everyone who will listen about how much we enjoyed the 3 hours.

What a wonderful way to stroll the streets of this great Chicago neighborhood. The tour is very well organized and you won't be disappointed with the food samplings... they range from authentic Chicago to so unique they're hard to imagine. We have a part time place in River North and know that area but are not very familiar with Bucktown and Wicker Park. This was perfect for us. We returned the same evening for a excellent dinner at Cafe Absinthe and bar hopping afterwards. We'll take the other tour in the near future.

A great way to get out and see Chicago neighborhoods. Plenty of fabulous food and interesting architecture. A tour guide who was eager to please and full of information. I can truly say this was worth the money. Thank you for showing us another view of Chicago. We would never have seen many of these places on our own.

Recently did the Bucktown food tour with a group of three women. Each one of us enjoyed it throughly. I thought the food portions were very plentiful, interesting and varied. The historical part of the tour was interesting and timed perfectly. I'd highly recommend the tour.

We had a really nice time. Our leader went out of his way to make sure everything went well for us in sitting in a restaurant, getting our food. he took us to some great places for food. I got a little bored with the architecure lesson but we couldn't go right from pizza and beer on to the next food. We did need to move around a little bit to get ready to eat again. We did learn alot about chicago history and architecture. The food choices were a lot of fun.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked this tour, but it exceeded my expectations. Our guides did an excellent job of not only giving us historical information of the tour sites, they also gave us a lot of additional information of the Bucktown/Wicker Park area. One of the highlights for me was a walk down Pierce Street with it's rich architecture. The only disappointment for me was the Green Goddess Grocery--nothing special in the food there.

Great Food Experience In Chicago

Beginning with the perfect Chicago-style hot dog, and ending with the yummiest ice cream I have ever had, this was a wonderful food experience. It was a great mix of exploring the neighborhoods in the area with the history of it all well explained by our knowledgeable tour guide. All in all a great experience.

Another side of Chicago not to be missed! A tour that lets you discover some great places to eat with enough food served that your husband and teenagers won't mind coming along. Interesting architecture too! Friendly and informative guide.
