We had a wonderful time on our tour of Bucktown/Wicker Park. The food was AMAZING, and the history was so interesting. I will visit the restaurants on our tour again! My only complaint was that our guide Lisa seemed new---and she was WONDERFUL, you could tell she was new, but she was so sweet, accommodating, and knowledgeable-----Kent, on the other hand, who seemed the be the "senior" guide----while good when he was leading the tour-----was VERY distracting when Lisa was talking. He wasn't doing anything crazy---it was more the way he looked at and treated Lisa that annoyed and distracted me. He did not seem the least bit supportive of her learning curve-----he seemed judgmental and looked annoyed to hear her speak. I will definitely give these tours another try-----because it was a great experience-----I just hope I don't run into the clash of the tour guides again. (And again the clash was not overt by any means-----Lisa handled Kent's demeaning approach beautifully-----But I'd rather be able to have full focus on the food and the history----and not have to look at a guide totally overtly judging another guide for the better part of the afternoon.) |

What a fantastic way to spend our first day in Chicago! On top of the fantastic food the tour guide was insightful, funny, and energetic. Highly recommend the tour to anyone looking for a fantastic half day activity. Everyone had a great time, totally stuffed, but still wanted to head back to some of the places we visited for even more tastes and experiences!

The Bucktown/Wicker Park Food Tour was great! Each food place was unique and delicious. Gina was a fabulous tour guide and I would definitely recommend her. My only regret was not waiting to make dinner reservations until after the tour. We were given so many great suggestions that I would have loved to try one of the restaurants. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Chicago area! |

At first I thought this tour was a bit expensive, but after doing it, it was worth the money. The guide was knowledge able and entertaining. The restaurants were unique to the culture and the food was very good. I would do a similar tour again and recommend it to others. |

Excellent, well- informed, well-organized guide who updated us on the transformation of the neighborhood on an informal walking tour with exposure to a variety of food stops. On our next visit we'll tour another neighborhood! |

We had a wonderful time on this tour. We loved every single thing we ate, and found the tour a great addition to our week in Chicago. we hadn't heard of these two neighborhoods before. It was interesting to be out of the more touristed areas and into some real neighborhoods. Kent was a terrific guide--knowledgeable, fun, and clearly passionate about both food and his neighborhood. I highly recommend this tour. Great food, interesting history and architecture , and an excellent guide. |

Our tour guide was great. The food at the stops was great. We went back to iCream the next day; it is phenomenal. We went to another recommended but not visited on the tour place (Bongo Room) for breakfast and it too was superb. Take this tour! |

I hit the tour up literally within 3 hours of arriving in Chicago via train. This tour was a wonderful way to kick off my stay because it served as great introduction to the area. Not only did we eat a delicious array of foods (as promised!) but our guide gave us a great history of the area, and provided a wonderful architectural tour as well! She was super friendly and even gave me some tips on what to do and how to walk to the Loop from our last destination. All in all a great experience, don't miss out! |
