I recommend this tour 100%. The food was great, but the information about the neighborhood, history, architecture made the tour. I'll be taking one of the other offerings without question on my next stop in Chicago as well as searching out these in other cities. Oh and, Bucktown/Wicker Park area..I refused to leave after the tour..ended up staying till after midnight since blue line train runs right thru there 24 hr/day. It's like our 6th Street in Austin, Texas, except without the obnoxious college students, deranged homeless people and roving gangs of thugs. Bucktown/Wicker Park is what I wish our downtown was. |

Live in the city and still found the experience extremely interesting and entertaining. I think anyone who likes to try different types of food and learning about Bucktown and Wicker Park would really enjoy this tour. Tour guide was very entertaining and a wealth of knowledge. |

I would recommend the Wicker Park food tasting tour to anyone. It was great fun and educational. I have traveled to Chicago a number of times and still found the information very interesting. For someone that has never been to the city, this tour would give them a week of experience in a few hours. |

We had a very leisurely and casual stroll around neighborhood streets with our guide Kent providing fun and interesting facts . The food was appetizing and filling, maybe even a little too filling. Be sure to eat breakfast early so you'll you'll have room. With that said, I must comment on the fact that at $44 pp, I think it's a bit high. Maybe cut that back $5? Still, a great tour and I got some nice pictures of some period houses along the way. |

My husband and I enjoyed the tour so much! All the food was awesome and we learned some interesting facts about Chicago. I loved that the tour let us experience Chicago in an "off the beaten path" way. We got to see and experience things that only a Chicago resident would be able to show us. It wasn't touristy at all and we loved it! We can't wait to come back again and do the other tour. Hopefully even more will be added in the future. |

Holy smokes, this was the highlight of my trip to Chicago. I grew up in a western suburb of Chicago, but came with friends who were new to the town. We did the standard tourist route, visiting museums and zoos and restaurants. The food tour, however, combined history, culture and deliciousness all in one. Curators create shows at museums that attempt to engage people thoroughly and sometimes they succeed. Like at the Field Museum. Sometimes they don't. Like at the Adler Planetarium.
This tour was like the Field Museum, only you ended with a full tummy in addition to a full brain. |

We enjoyed the Bucktown/Wicker park tour. We had also taken the Near North tour so we had high expectations since we enjoyed the other tour so much. We enjoyed all of the places we visited. It was my first Chicago style hot dog so that was a treat. The hot chocolate was unbelievable and the Icream was very interesting. I missed visiting the shops like you do on the other tour and I felt like you got more info on the other tour. I think the tour would be better if they replaced a couple of stops. I didn't like the one with the beet salad and the granola was fine but it is no fun when you can't even go in. |

Great food had a wonderful time with my husband and cousin on this tour. Its quite a bit of food in the beginning and then you walk for a while and then you finish with two awesome eats. Where your walking shoes it is slowed paced but a good trek around town. My husband and I love doing food tours when we only have a couple of days in a city, it is a great way to try different foods at really great restaurants in a short amount of time all while learning the history of the town. |

I can't say enough about the Chicago Food Planet tours. My boyfriend and I visited Chicago two years ago and stumbled upon the Northern/Lincoln Park tour. We loved the tour so much we knew on our next trip to the windy city, this was a must do! The Wicker Park/Bucktown tour was awesome! We enjoyed each and every delicious stop. Our guide Kent was great. He was extremely enthusiastic and seemed to not only enjoy his job, but also had a lot of pride for his city. I also loved learning all the history and architecture of the area. I can't wait for my next trip to Chicago to try the Chinatown tour. If you are a foodie and want a unique experience this tour is for you! |
