We bought these tickets as a birthday gift for a family friend who lives in Chicago, so we attended as a group of four. It was a wonderful day, cool and clear, and perfect for all the walking we did. Our guide was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and cute as a button! Even though our friend is a Chicago native, we went places he'd never heard of. They had a interesting mix of food, with very generous portions (almost TOO MUCH!). You won't go hungry! The information on the history and architecture of the area was very interesting. Can't wait to do the other Chicago food tours! |

This is the ultimate tour for people that enjoy visiting cities for their "feel" instead of doing the typical crowded tourist draws. I'd recommend going on this tour early in your trip - you feel like you having an Chicago local tell you secrets about all the best spots to go in the neighborhood. You WILL want to go back to many of the places they take you to and point out. Not only do you get the inside scoop on where to go, but you also get plenty of great food (go hungry!) and architectural history. |

Chicago is made up of so many different cultures. It's a great way to learn the different cultures and to experience and learn about the food. |

I took this tour a year ago with my gal pals. Our tour guide was awesome! He was knowledgeable, witty and kept our attention the whole time. We ate, we walked, we learned stuff and we drank iced hot chocolate (which was awesome by the way). If I ever go back to Chicago I am taking this tour again! This was one of the best things I did in Chicago! |

I would highly recommend this tour - especially for foodies! Our guide, Kent was entertaining, funny, and easy on the eyes! The entire tour was a great mix of food, history, and exercise! Lots of food to taste - don't eat a big breakfast before attending the tour and definitely wear walking shoes! We tasted an international mix of sweet and savory items. The variety of food and the pacing of the tour were excellent. It wasn't constant eating. The walking between stops and listening to Chicago's history and appreciating the architecture of buildings didn't make you feel like you were totally pigging outl It was A LOT of food. I thought maybe we would be getting sample sizes, but we each had a whole Chicago dog, a good sized pizza slice, a 12 oz iced hot chocolate, and so on....I saved my falafel for later because I was so stuffed by the time we went to Sultan's. Kent also offered ideas for Chicago food souvenirs to bring home and recommended other places to eat, and places to visit as we passed by locations. I don't think we would have seen Bucktown / Wicker Park if not for this tour. Thanks for a great experience! If I ever go back, I would definitely consider booking another tour! |

Completely enjoyed my tour with Carrie. She was interesting and fun and provided us with a tour chock-full of historical facts and great stories about the food. It was a terrific way to sample some legendary Chicago/Bucktown/Wicker Park foods and see firsthand the work of a few chefs I had seen on the Food Network!
It was easy to get to the meeting place using the "L" and walking a few blocks. I highly recommend this tour for everyone except young children. |
