Enjoyed the tour but not as much as Downtown/Lincoln park tour. Fewer points of interest and food came fast and furious. Food choices were good and guide was great. Doesn't require much walking which I would have preferred. |

Our guide, Kent, was friendly, funny and quite knowledgeable about the area. We started with a wonderful Chicago style hot dog at George's, followed by a cup of indescribably delicious cold chocolate that I will never forget from Hot Chocolate. The pasta salad from Goddess and Grocer was our least favorite food on the tour - I have a feeling there are better salads offered there that we could have tried. Loved both Sultan's Market and icream. Learned about the neighborhood and got a feel for a place other than the usual tourist destinations. Great activity for foodies and/or travelers who want to explore Chicago off the beaten path. |

My girlfriend and I were stuffed after this tour, but have been talking nonstop about it for days. Just when we thought we couldn't eat another bite, we had our favorite new cuisine of the day at one of the last of the six stops- - and went back later to order carryout to bring to friends. Our personable guide kept the pace relaxed and unhurried, and knew just enough about the history and culture not to be boring or pedantic. We were luckily to have a smaller group (7) which I believe enhanced our experience. We will definitely take the other tour this fall. |

This food tour was amazing and provided our group with great tips and insight on where to visit while in Wicker Park and Bucktown. Wonderful restaurants and stops that will definitely have us coming back for future visits! |

Gina, our tour guide, knew the Bucktown/Wicker Park area thoroughly and shared the history and evolving daily life of the area. This bustling part of the city really was on display for us. The food was wonderful - hot dogs, deli offerings, falafel (excellent!), pizza, chocolate, ice cream - all wonderful and unique to the neighborhood. We hope more tours are planned and offered - Chinatown? Hyde Park and South Loop? Thanks for a wonderful day! |

My husband and I recently went on the Bucktown/Wicker Park Food Tour while we were visiting Chicago. It was so much fun and the highlight of our trip! Jess was our guide, along with Nicole, and they were both wonderful...upbeat and full of knowledge about the history of the area, the food, even the local architecture! We learned so many interesting things, ate SO MUCH delicious food, and even got to try some new things (like homemade marshmallows from Hot Chocolate and the amazing falafel at Sutan's Market!). I cannot recommend this tour enough- I have been telling all my friends that it's a must-do in Chicago. We will definitely be taking the other tour on our next visit. Anyone interested in good food or learning more about the trendy Bucktown/Wicker Park neighborhood should definitely sign up! But whatever you do, don't eat a big breakfast before you go!! |

We were visiting friends who live in Chicago -- and for the 4 of us, we could not think of a better way to spend the afternoon.
Not only was each stop better than the last, but there was so much food! Our guide (Kent) was friendly and animated - and he obviously enjoys sharing the history of the neighborhoods (Bucktown/Wicker Park) on the tour.
Not only do I recommend this tour, I hope that we can go back and do it again! |
