| Our guide was great and gave us alot of "local" history too. We both liked most of the food. The portions were normal size, so we were full by the end of the tour! We've been on two other food tours (NYC & Boston) & were only given samples.
I would highly recommend this tour!! |

| The food was great. No complaints. And it was plenty. The walking around the neighborhood was fine, until we stopped to see a bunch of housed that in my opinion, did not need as much explanation. That part dragged a little bit. But otherwise, great experience. |

| I had a wonderful time at the tour..it combined the gastronomic and historical! Our guide was very informative and knowledgable about the area. My favorites were the hot chocolate and hot dogs! Helped that the weather was great..
I would like to have experienced more eateries although perhaps its difficult to do in 3 hours.
Overall the food tour is a must try especially if youre new to the area...its a great introduction to the neighborhood and a chance to try some great food! |

| This was a great tour. I rarely do tours as I normally would research places I visit and explore on my own. With this tour, even though the places visited were listed and I could have easily visited on my own, I really enjoyed the non-food parts of exploring the neighborhood and learning the history of some of the homes and buildings on the route. I would not have gotten so much out of this neighborhood if I had not taken this tour. Equally helpful was the listing of recommended restaurants that was given out with the tour. The only stop that I would recommend the tour replace is the visit and tasting at Piece Pizza. Pizza was not that good. |

| Local and tourist alike will enjoy this opportunity to get to know a neighborhood. We met at a hot dog joint, walked together, ate together, talked together and had a very special afternoon. Our guide lived in the neighborhood and made us feel very welcome. Got to know the area like never before. Highly recommend the experience. |

| Great tour!! We had a small group which made the tour even better. Wonderful way to learn about different areas of a city. Food was wonderful, would recommend this tour to any "foodie". |

| This is our second food tour in Chicago. The food was good and the tour was very interesting. I found our tour guide to be very friendly, maybe to much at times. He tried to hard to be liked. I would recomend doing this as a couple, group or a single. I think kids would be bored and the walking may be to much for a small child |

| I did a Zerve food tour in NYC earlier in the summer and loved it. When I booked my trip for Chicago, I immediately searched to see if they offered food tours in this city as well. I went on the Bucktown/Wicker Park tour with extremely high expectations. Not only did this tour fullfill my expectations, but it also exceeded them.
I loved all 6 of the food tastings, especially iCream. I also really enjoyed how it wasn't all back-to-back, but also included the walking tour of the area with information about the transformation, local opinions and the historic houses. It's a great way to pace yourself with all of the food and walk off some of those empty calories (since when you are on vacation, calories don't exist).
My boyfriend and I went on the tour with our friend who lives in Chicago. He was skeptical since he knows the area well, but he enjoyed it just as much as we did.
I would recommend for any tourist or local to do the Bucktown/Wicker Park tour. And if you have Carrie as your guide, she is excellent! |

| The tour is such fun and very entertaining as well as informative. Kent, the tour guide had me wishing I was a Chicago native so I could return to these great restaurants where we had been, and also to the extra places that were pointed out along the way. I've got great suggestions for all my friends traveling there as well as my daughter and all of her buds from Northwestern.
I had taken the original Chicago food tour in May and was thrilled with it, so much that I was going to do it again and take my husband so he could experience it. The Wicker Park tour is fairly new but definitely highlights the best of what the neighborhood is all about. I'd highly recommend it.
It poured rain for over half of our tour and we still had a blast!! |
