| Although Chicago is a wonderfully welcoming city, it can be difficult to summon up the courage to venture beyond the busy city centre. This is why a tour such as this is so good. It brings you to parts you would never have thought of visiting before and enhances the whole Chicago experience.
We had a lovely small group on our tour . If you are a tourist it can be hard to meet people other than hotel receptionists and waiters who are being paid to be pleasant to you. So an opportunity to meet ordinary people and hear their stories is great.
As for the tour, we had a marvellous, warm, outgoing lady, Jan, who didn't prattle off a script like a tired bored tour guide. Instead she spoke informatively and entertainingly about many aspects of Chicago food, architecture, history and some really good, unrepeatable gossip!
The places we stopped at were interesting and so good that afterwards we redid the tour so we could purchase items and spend even longer in the shops
The whole tour took about 3 hours and although we didn't walk fast, at the end my husband and I were exhausted.
I recommend this tour to just about anyone, in fact it made the trip for us, I can't praise the tour or the tour guide highly enough. |

| Our tour was great: Interesting, entertaining, educational and lots of fun. Although the weather was not that great, the whole group had a very good time.
The stops were greatly selected and you really get a feeling to get introduced to the city. Thanks again for this great experience. |

| I would recommend the tour to anyone. However there was one stop that was below average (catering chocolate) that seemed more of a look how great they are rather than the actual food. The rest of the stops were excellent. (I would recommend replacing the above stop with a pastry shop perhaps Polish or Italian bakery. These are more a part of chicago than cheese from Wisconsin.... |

| My wife and I had such a great time on this culinary walking tour. Every element was excellent, with the combined total even exceeding the sum of its parts. First of al, our tour leader, Jen (I'm 99% sure I have her name right) was a natural. She engaged the entire group (which was fairly big at 18), was full of knowledge of food, architecture, history--and a little gossip. That she enjoys what she does came shining through.
Covering three neighborhoods and seven different food establishments left us with a real feeling for Chicago, as well as a host of delicious tastes and acquired knowledge. It was a super time--we loved it. |

| My husband, 16 year old daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our Food Tasting/Cultural Walking Tour! It was our favorite part of our family vacation to Chicago. We not only loved the tastings and local businesses we discovered, but the information on the neighborhoods and local color was excellent. I would have loved to have taken the second tour, but we didn't have time on this trip. Our tour guide, Jennifer, was fabulous and extremely knowledgeable of the history of the neighborhoods and the "story behind the story". I would recommend this tour for everyone who wants to experience the true "Chicago". |

| I really enjoyed the tour. I will give a 95.
The 5 will be given if we could have some time to do the purchase. I understand that time is limited. But some people, for my group per say, might not have time to go back to the food stores/ restaurants because we have another plan after the food tour.
But overall, it is a good eating and learning experience that I will recommend to all my friends! :) |

| We recently had the opportunity to do both of the Chicago tours during the week of Thanksgiving 2009. My husband and I both felt the tours were outstanding. Each of the guides were extremely friendly and we found the tours educational and entertaining. The food was great and we would recommend either or both of the tours without hesitation. |

| Came from L.A. with my recent college graduate son to see a Bears game, and this tour ended up being the highlight of the trip. Our fantastic tour guide, Nikki, only had a group of 4 to contend with. This made for a great time for everyone. We really got a chance to receive and share information with each other about the wonderful town and food we were sampling. I can't really name a favorite tour stop because they all were special in their own way. I know my son would agree. We ultimately made purchases at the spice, oil, and fudge shops. Looking forward to experiencing the Bucktown/Wicker Park Food Tasting & Cultural Tour on our next visit.
