This was a great way to spend an afternoon in Chicago. Chris was a great tour guide, informative, fun, thorough and knowledgeable about the city, food, culture and architecture.
I learned so much, had so much fun, and got to walk and see the great city of Chicago. The tour was well organized and planned and the food tasting was just right. I have recommended this tour and Food Planet to all my friends and family. I will definitely take another tour.
Thanks so much! |

We had some hesitation about the tour because of the visits to tea, oil and spice shops. Are they really food? However, those stops were probably the highlights for us, as we learned a lot about each. Who would ever guess there were so many delicious combinations of olive oil and balsamic vinegarette! Our guide Hillary was awesome, not only knowledgable about each food stop but also about Chicago history and the sights between the stores. |

We enjoyed this tour a lot. The food establishments visited were very good and we LOVED the guide. She was so enthusiastic and made it all fun. We also enjoyed learning about the Gold Coast and Old Town neighborhoods of Chicago which we knew nothing about. Of the food establishments, my husband liked the Jewish deli the best, I liked the tea shop and candy shop the best, and my son and his friend liked the pizza place the best. The only one we didn't really like was the spice shop. We were also a little disappointed that we didn't get to visit a Chicago hotdog stand since it is something Chicago is famous for. So, if you switched out the spice shop for a hotdog stand, the tour would be absolutely perfect! |

My 12 year old daughter and I took this tour. She really enjoys trying different foods and is interested in cooking. I thought this would be a fun way to spend some of our time in Chicago. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The spice house was very interesting and educational. We went back to 3 of the 7 locations later the same day to make purchases. |

The 3 hours seem to fly by. The food was great and our guide gave us lots of information about the the area we were walking in and the places we stopped at. This is not a tour for those who are fussy or don't like to walk. I would not recommend this tour for children. |

Completely enjoyed our very knowledgeable guide, the tastings and the walking history tour! We returned later to make purchases and received discounts at the businesses- that was an added bonus! |

I was expecting a "food tasting" tour. The food we tasted was small and not what I expected. My best half loved the tour on the other hand. She was happy with the chocates and cheese we tasted. I needed more substance. The tour guide was great, honestly I would had been bored if it wasn't for his lively commentary. The places we walked to were interesting and probably would had never seen had we not taken the tour. |
