Gold Coast & Old Town Food Tasting & Cultural Tour

The tour was fantastic! I have been visiting Chicago every year for several years and this is now my favorite activity. The tour guide was personable and very knowledgeable; she really made the tour fun. It was a fantastic selection of shops and restaurants. I learned about a new 'Neighborhood' that I was not familiar with and went back the next day to all the stops to use the coupons they give out on the tour. If you are visiting Chicago and want to do something different I would highly recommend this tour! For my visit next year I plan to take the other tour they offer.

Our tour guide, Jess, was very enthusiastic and interesting. Nice choice of restaurants Interesting stories about the buildings and history of Chicago. The weather was beautiful. The walk was good - would not advise too much more in distance Fun day!

This was round 2 for me as I had participated in the Bucktown/Wicker Park tour previously. I brought my 9 yr old step son and it was a great experience! Jess was very knowledgeable of the tastings and neighborhoods. We talked about everything we learned and experienced all the way home. (South Bend, IN)

This tour was GREAT! It was also beneficial to book this on our first full day in Chicago. We were then able to go back to the stores we wanted to shop and take our time in browsing. As a tour guide, Ariana was fantastic. Her enthusiasm made each locality we visited come alive. Her passion for locally owned business owners and history was much appreciated. I learned a lot and the tastings were just the right amount. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone who loves food, cooking, and non-chain stores/restaurants.

The tour guide - Ariana - was EXCELLENT! Enthusiastic, informative, friendly. I really enjoyed visiting all the spots on this tour. My only disappointment was that there was no shopping, I really think you could incorporate shopping - just give really strict guidelines to the tour participants. I'm home now and really wish I had bought some olive oil and balsamic vineagar! Nex ttime. Thanks!

Our guide Ariana was delightful, with a wonderful turn of phrase and a good sense of humour. She also got the best out of everyone on the tour and there was good interchange amongst us. The establishments visited were great and the order for eating was well balanced. We loved the oil and vinegar shop but unfortunately couldn't take any home and shipping would be prohibitive, however we picked up some wonderful ideas. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone

It was fantastic for my wife and I. A great combination of food, history, entertainment, and exercise. The walking is no big deal and well worth it to be introduced to new things. Our guide did a great job. The neighborhoods were clean and safe. We really enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

I would recommend this tour for both tourists and locals. The amount of food and history that is packed into three hours is incredible.

I scheduled this tour thinking it may be a tourist trap, but it was anything but. I was pleasantly surprised, as was my travel companion. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, and the tour covered interesting and nice areas of town, with unique stops along the way. Definitely worth the time if you have 3-4 hours to spend. Come hungry!

Rebecca was a fabulous guide. She was knowledgeable, down-to-earth, easy to be with, talk-a-tive, fun, out-going....one of the best guides we have had in all the tours we have done. She gets an A+ from us... LOVED the food choices and places we stopped also. Especially the Bacino's pizza and candy store but all were wonderful. Only wish we had more time to shop...
