As I was only in Chicago for the weekwnd and it was my first visit to Chicago, I wanted to get a good feel for the city. I spent the Saturday at Millenium Park, the Art Institute and shopping on State Street (only window shopping on Michigan Avenue!). For th Sunday I wanted to do a tour but something that would get me into the heart of Chicago rather than just 'sights'. This tour just fit the bill. Many thanks. |

My adult daughter and I went to Chicago to visit my son who recently moved there. The three of us took the tour and I have to say, we ALL enjoyed it. The guide not only took us to the specified stops, but discussed changes in the history of Chicago and explained much of the architecture on the route. SO much better than a bus tour! |

2 of us were tourists visiting family, and 2 of us were locals that had never done this tour. We all enjoyed it! Our tour leader was fun and knowledgable about the food AND the area. We backtraded and revisited several of the stores to make purchases and the 2 locals are planning on going back in the future.
Thanks for supplying, brochures and magazines with websites furnished so that I can purchase from North Carolina!
Looking forward to my trip next year and going on the new tour you're planning. |

My two grown daughters and I decided to do this on our first get away weekend together. It was fabulous. We had an enthusiastic, knowledgeable young tour guide who made this experience very enjoyable. We particularly enjoyed learning about the spices, teas and oils. However, since we needed to go back to these places to make purchases, the three hour tour (which actually lasted longer anyway) turned into an almost all day affair. We put on many miles walking back to these places and then back to the starting place. It was very worthwhile though, and I would recommend it to any adults. The pizza and the toffee WERE the best I have ever eaten. |

My wife and I were visiting from Canada and it was the highlight of our trip! We learned so much great information and saw such beautiful buildings and houses along the way, including the old playboy mansion. The trendy little shops were just great and the food too! I would recommend however to wear very comfortable shoes and to watch for uneven pavement in spots as one lady fell. People of all ages seemed to enjoy the tour as well and for people who wish to know about the best places to eat and visit or anything else you might want to know about Chicago, this is a great way to find out! Have fun! |

We had a great time. We enjoyed seeing new (to us) neighborhoods and tasting and learning! One tiny improvement could be made: we would have prefered more unique/interesting cheese sampling at Catering - Chocolate. While the imberico and the provolone were tasty, we would have prefered something a little less "pedestrian" from the cheese case. On the other hand, the samplings at Old Town Oil compensated. Overall, the tour was a nice time and we'd recommend it to others. |

My daughter is at school at du paul. So over the last 2 years we have explored a lot in the neighborhood. We had been to 7 out of the 8 places on the tour. It would be a good idea to name the places on the tour so one could decide if it was worth while.
I also thinks a late afternoon tour with wine might be fun.
Glad to hear you are doing the tour in different neighborhoods |

This tour is unique. We did the same one in Greenwich Village a couple of years ago and it wasn't as diverse as the Chicago tour. The variety of the 8 stops on the tour was much appreciated. The only drawback is that there is no time to shop in the fabulous shops. |

The guide was wonderful; she included great tidbits of architecture, local color and history. A perfect amount of walking. Tons of information at each stop. It is a great way to spend a day in Chicago with friends. |
