Gold Coast & Old Town Food Tasting & Cultural Tour

The tour was a lot of fun with several great food stops and many cultural lessons of the area on the way. The tour guide did a great job; she was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Even our 17-year-old son enjoyed most of the food stops. Be careful not to eat too big of a breakfast before you go.

I learned alot about teas and also about oil and vinegar. I enjoyed the wonderful flavors of the oil and vinegar We went back and purchased the tea brewer and a bottle of oil and vinegar. the rubins and the deep dish pizza were vary good. I also enjoyed the walk thru neighbor hood.

We did a food tour in NY and had a great time. The Chicago (near north / lincon park) tour was again a perfect way to experience the city. It is more than just a food tour. Our guide had great local knowledge of the history, architecture, and food that was served on the tour. From now on when we visit cities, I will look to see if food tours are available. Dean S.

I would highly recommend the Near North walking food tour. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and we learned a ton of information about Chicago and it's fine foods.

Our tour guide, Heather, was very enthusiastic and informative. Likewise, the employees at each restaurant/stop was nice and helpful. The food portions were adequate (although we had a small breakfast before going on the tour at noon). Overall, we enjoyed the tour and would go on one of their other tours the next time we're in town!

My wife and I had a great time on the near-north side tour and our tour guide, Jess, was knowledgeable and fun to be with. The food stops were all very tasty and the neighborhood histories we walked through were quite interesting. We look forward to another tour the next time we are in Chicago.

We enjoyed our Gold Coast taste tour so much! The weather cooperated and the food and history of the area were absolutely top notch. I would heartily recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get a closer look at some wonderful small food businesses, loves a taste, and desires to learn some history along the way. Our guide, Chris, was such a fun, relaxed host. He really knew his stuff and made the tour even more enjoyable. All in all it was a perfect way to spend some time in Chicago.

The tour guide was engaging, informative, and enthusiastic. The tour provided a varied sampling of food and products sold only in the Gold Coast, Old Town, and Lincoln Park neighborhoods. The samplings were prepared and served at the appropriate temperature, fresh, and in portion to satisfy your appetite. Walking through the neighboorhoods with a guide who provided factual entertaining information filled the 3 hour tour with enjoyment.

My husband and I took the Near Northend Tour. Chris did a great job and was so enthusiastic. We saw wonderful parts of Chicago, learned a lot of history, ate delicious food, and the best part was we were off the beaten path. We felt like we had our own private slice of Chicago to explore and taste. The businesses loved having us there and were very helpful. Next time we got to Chicago we will definately take another tour and I have already told friends to look into this. Thanks so much for helping us EXPERIENCE Chicago, not just be there.
