We enjoyed very much this leisurely walk in a beautiful part of the city. The tour guide, Heather, was charming and entertaining. We learned some fun tidbits about Chicago history and local curiosities. The food samplings were nice, especially the sushi. There could have been some more food tasting, since the spice shop and the oil shop-while interesting stops-did not really feel like food tasting. Not that we came out hungry, but in terms of variety, it would have been nice to have a couple of more stops.
This is a nice way to entertain a friend from out of town. |

I loved my food/cultural walking tour. The food was tasty, especially the deep-dish pizza from Lou Malnati's Pizzeria. The spice store visit was good, the spices were delicious, fresh and nuanced. I also enjoyed the sushi restaurant. The cultural aspects of the walking tour were fun and interesting - including seeing the exterior of a former Playboy mansion and one of the first houses built after the great Chicago fire. One of the best things about the tour though was our guide, Colleen, who is a guide by day and a stand-up comedienne by night. She's warm, friendly, funny, and really made the tour come alive. The tour was a lovely way to see the city, learn some historical/architectural facts, and taste some really good food. |

Nicole was excellent! She was knowledgeable, witty, friendly and easy to like! Our group was family and even though part of the family lives in Chicago, we all enjoyed the tour and tastings alike! My mom and my sister stated that had they not taken the tour, they never would have ever thought to go into the likes of the oil store or the spice store. I myself have now come to appreciate tea to a much greater degree...we went back to several of the stops and bought oil, tea and spices and will be eating at Lou's as soon as we get back to Chicago (even though half of our group had eaten at Lou's in the past, we learned additional info about the history of the company and the making of the pizza - Good Job!) A nice way to spend part of the day - our weather was a bit colder than we had hoped but really, you're going into warm places so it was just fine! Please enjoy this experience - you won't be disappointed! |

This tour was the highlight of my short visit to Chicago. Tour guide, Jess, was delightful; incredibly knowledgable, energetic and clearly a food lover! It was an easy walk, with most venues close by in the Old Town neighbourhood. Of course, my favourite was the deep dish pizza at Lou Magnati's although every stop offered quality food in generous quantities. I can highly recommend this tour - it was easy to get to (I walked from my Michigan Ave hotel) and the small group made it a friendly experience. Thanks to Jess for making it such a memorable experience. |

My family loved this! We learned a lot about Chicago (and we're from there!). We can't wait to do the other food tours in the city and would recommend this in any city that it's offered. |

Our tour guide (Kent) was really fun to talk with. We enjoyed the stops and samples of different items and the history of the neighborhoods we walked through. We are looking forward to taking the other tours next time we are in Chicago. |
