Near North Food Tasting & Cultural Walking Tour

Our tour was led by Arianna, who did an outstanding job of describing the areas we were walking through, the history of the area and fun facts that we all enjoyed immensely. The places selected for tastings were diverse and excellent - every single one of them. And again, Adriana, explained the history of the shops/restaurants and had an in depth knowledge of the food and what made it so tasty! This was one of the best tours of this type that I've taken. Arianna is an outstanding guide..not only was she very knowledgeable, but she was a lot of fun! I would definitely recommend this tour and would do it again!

The tour was fantastic!! The tour guide, Ariana Vargas, was the best!! She was knowledgable, energetic, friendly, and considerate of everyone. While the weather wasn't the best that day (rain, wind, and cool at times) we hardly noticed it because she kept us moving and excited about what we would see next. The food was excellent at each establishment. Loved the pastrami, pastries, chocolate and pizza. But the spice house and oil and vinegar shop were so interesting and fun to explore. Too bad time didn't allow for purchasing, but that is completely understandable. I would definitely recommend this tour to others!!

I greatly enjoyed this wonderful stroll thru the streets of Chicago. Our tour guide, Ariana, was extremely knowledgeable and vivacious. She had so much information about the food establishments, and added flair with her input on architecture as we walked through various neighborhoods. I would highly recommend this tour. And, by the way, the food was outstanding!

Ariana, our guide, made the tour so much fun. She is a wealth of information and so vivacious. We never even noticed how bad the weather was (windy and raining). We just wanted to keep on going and learn about everything she had to say. The selection of stores we went to was great also. But to be honest, Ariana was the reason we loved this tour so much! She was adorable and had a fabulous personality.

We had a great tour this past Friday with Jess as our tour guide. The places were wonderful and very interesting. One of the vest things I have done in years of coming to visit Chicago! It's a must do!

We had the best time and have already reccommended it to others going to and living in Chicago. All of the stops were delicious and interesting. We just wish we could have had 5 minutes to shop at some because we had planned to go back to make purchases but never made it. Our guide was fabulous and really made the tour.

Arianna was a fantastic guide. All the stops were fun, informative with wonderful things to taste. We learned some new things about tea, oil and vinegar, Chicago style pizza, etc. Delicious! It was a long walk though. The write up says the tour is OK for all ages and fitness levels and I think that is a bit misleading. I have slight arthritis that causes pain with walking and I had a hard time making it all the way. Overall, I would recommend the tour, with the caveat to be prepared for a long walk.

My wife and I were both very pleased with this tour. We are foodies and we found each stop to be a mini-revelation. Our guide was very pleasant and knowledgable. Plus we learned interesting tidbits about the neighborhoods that we walked thru. Even a couple on the tour from Chicago was surprised by each stop (they hadn't heard of any of these places). Overall, the hype was true, this tour is not to be missed. We felt that this was the highlight of our trip to Chicago.

This was an amazing experience. It was truly an experience that you all must partake of. Ariella was absolutely incredible. I had no idea what we were signing up for, but boy am I glad that we did. We have two daughters, ages 9 and 11 and they had a great time. The information about Chicago and the different neighborhoods was priceless. The tea, spice and oil stores were unbelievable as was the various food tastings. One can not imagine how much fun you can have experiencing different teas, spices and oils/vinegars. It was certainly one of the highlights of our trip. As I said we had 2 daughters and they both loved the walk as well as the food. Ariella was really fun and she was full of information and was very willing to share it. Thank you for a fantastic tour! We'll be back and try other food tours.

This was an outstanding tour, well worth the money.
