Near North Food Tasting & Cultural Walking Tour

I had a very enjoyable time on the tour. Our tour guide was very nice, knowlegable and enthusiastic about the food and history of the neighborhoods that we visited. I would definitely recommend this tour and especially our tour guide. Next time I visit Chicago I might look into going on the other food tour.

The tour leader for the 11:30am tour was wonderful, happy and informative. Each of the businesses from the Jewish Deli, the Spice shop(with explaination of spices and their useful life), the tea shop was informative, choclate shope was great, and the Pizza was wonderful as a last stop. The explaination of the buildings along the tour was fun and interesting. I highly recomend it.

Our group ranged in age from 25 to 55, and we all enjoyed this amazing adventure. Our guide, Jennifer, was wonderful She guided us through the history, architecture and culture of these beautiful neighborhoods. The food tasting stops along the way were the frosting on the cake. We enjoyed it all. We will definitely do the other neighborhood food tasting tour offered by Chicago Food Planet, Inc.

The food tasting was great and a surprise bonus was the interesting narrative our top-notch guide provided about the history and architecture of the neighborhoods we walked through.

Living in Chicago all my life and even speding time on the very street we walked, I thought I knew it all....was I wrong!!! The tour took us to places I have passed a hundred times, without ever knowing the treasures which lied within those restaurants and shops. It was fun, informative, and I would recommend to anyone both local and out of town visitors.

I was very pleased with the tour and our tour guide, jennifer. It was much more than we had expected with the information on the architecture and the neighborhoods. I would recommend this to others.

The tour was incredible. Jen was wonderful. I brought my Aunt visiting from California we bothed loved the tour. The best part was the olive oil store, which we went back a few days later to make a purchase. It was raining all day yet Jen's super sweet attitude made it a sunny day. Her knowledge of the area was great. Loved her stories. The ONLY think I would change was the chocolate catering place, which we were not impressed with at all. We will be taking the other food tasting tour the next time my Aunt is in town. I hope we have Jen as our guide! Thank you for an awesome day.

This is a requirement for any tourist! We have been to Chicago many times--and count this tour as a highlight!!! Our guide, Jen, was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and LOADS of fun! The various places we stopped on the tour were all fun, and we learned so much from each stop. We also enjoyed touring the neighborhoods and learning about the culture of the city. I highly recommend this tour. You will NOT be disappointed!!! :-)
