Near North Food Tasting & Cultural Walking Tour

the group leader Adriana, in my opinion, made the group a success. Her charm and upbeat personality truly was catchy and motivating. I asked her so many questions, she answered them all with pose and professionalism. Adriana was extremely knowledgeable of both past and present events. I have been on several tour groups throughout the world, well, Adrianne is tops in my book as a tour book leader. She is worth very penny. In regard to the tour, I enjoyed visiting the various restaurants and shops - a great mix. The only thing I would change or add would be an ice cream shop at the end of the trip. The pizza was excellent; yet, I would I enjoyed something sweet too. At least recommend a place on the tour for later. Oh, I especially like the fact that shop was to be done AFTER the tour - a very welcome change. Overall, I truly enjoyed the tour and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys food.

As a person who loves food this tour was great in so many ways. The tour not only focus on the food but the area also. I would recommend this to anyone!!!! Cant wait to return to the city and do the other tour!!!

We enjoyed the food tour and our guide Hilary was great. My husband and I wanted to explore other neighbourhoods that are not found in the typical tourist attraction guides. That was accomplished. We have a 4 year old who accompanied us. The group and the guide were all very accomodating to our stroller and child. There were a couple of spots that we were unable to comfortably bring the stroller into but overall the tour was stroller friendly. I would not recommend bying a ticket for a child unless you know he will eat everything. We chose not to buy a ticket for him and he just took bites of our food when he was hungry (everything is prepared in advance and there is only serving per paid sustomer). We went back the next day and did some shopping at the oil place and the spice market. We made a day of it and explored the neighbourhood and restaurants on our own. It was a great neighbourhood and we would visit it again. Bring comfy shoes and be prepared on hot days with bottled water. There were not a lot of places on the tour that sold it and you only get one drink tasting at the tea shop. OVerall it is recommended to try this tour.

I would have loved the opportunity to shop along the way, and i get the time constraints, but I think the businesses would get more benefit w us shopping right then and there. Also, there is talk of adding a Chinatown option, PLEASE DO - we will be doing the second option on our next trip, and don't want to run out of new spots. Thank you!

I would highly recommend this tour!

It was definitely a highlight of our week end in Chicago! Ariana (our leader) was professional, upbeat, very informative and fun. Each stop was diverse; and in between these stops, we learned interesting cultural facts about the areas we visited. One of the members in our party is vegetarian and her needs were tactfully satisfied. The five members in our party thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thank you so much for this memorable afternoon!

Our guide, Jess, was friendly and enthusiastic. She made an effort to remember our names and use them when she spoke to us. She shared information in a clear and interesting way. The food was delicious and a great variety. The amount of food was more than we expected. The order of places that we visited seemed good and complimented the tasting of the various foods. We also enjoyed the historical and architectural information that Jess shared with us on the tour. We will be recommending the Food Tours to our family and friends!

Unfortunately, I am running late to another appointment . . . but wanted to quickly share that this tour was absolutely GREAT!! Don't change a thing. I will highly recommend to any family or friends planning a trip to Chicago.

The Tour was wonderful and the Guide was informative. We loved the Teas and Spice shop and returned there the next day! At the Bakery I might consider dropping the perogi (sp)

Our tour guide, Rebecca, had a very pleasant demeanor and made our tour comfortable and enjoyable throughout the entrire day. I felt that the selected stops and the order in which we visited them was very well thought out. I felt that I learned something at each stop and we ended the day on a full, but not overly full, stomach. No complaints here!
