A thoughtful selection of stops, interesting facts, easy going leader who was able to foster interaction among participants -- all in all delightful, and a highly recommended adventure.

My friend and I signed up for this tour as something different to do while our husbands enjoyed a Cub/Cardinal ballgame. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk, food, and had fun getting to know the other people taking the tour. The tour leader was personable, interesting, and had a good sense of humor. It was fun to walk through the various neighborhoods and I feel comfortable to return to some of the stops for lunch or shopping in the future. I hope that the tours expand to more neighborhoods......Chinatown, Little Italy, etc. My friend and I would definitely do another tour with this company.

We chose this tour because we wanted to take our baby and this walking tour welcomed a stroller. The tour was fantastic. Not only did we sample some wonderful food, but we also learned some great history about the city of Chicago. We highly recommend this tour!

My wife and I had a wonderful. Shane was a very good tour guide with a pleasant personality. We enjoyed his explanation of the history of the areas through which we walked. The locations where we stopped to taste food were representative of the different types of food in Chicago. Shane made a comment on the walk about a man who made delicious cheeses. That might be considered for a stop. We would recommend the tour to anyone.

Unique Tour

A very interesting activity. Shane our guide (think that was his name) was energetic, funny, and knowledgable about the places we visited and the foods we tasted. I have highly recommended this tour to my friends/family. The only thing I would suggest would be to (if possible) include a food tasting with a little more protein/dairy at the start of the walk. Stopping at a cheese store/deli to sample some great cheeses and or salami's would be wonderful. I also would add maybe 5 - 10 minutes more to each stop. Felt a little rushed near the end of the tour.

Shane your concept for this company is great! You have found 7 great places to take your tourists to really show them some Chicago culture, history, and yummy food and drinks!!! I would order some of the items on the tour through your very helpful tour sheet (including websites and addresses). The only PROBLEM I found was that there was NO time for a little shopping at the selected locations. It was like bringing a kid into a toy store and showing them all the great toys, but you couldn't buy anything (during the tour). I did feel rushed when you let me buy something, but at least I tried. My suggestion is that you include an extra 5 minutes at each venue so that people may have the option to purchase the great products they are seeing. The chances are that most people do not know the streets of Chicago as well as you do and don't have the time or the chance to get back to those locations on their short stays!! Just a thought! Either way, it was great!!!! ENJOY YOUR SUCCESS!

My wife loved it all. She was drawn to the comments about the architecture and enjoyed the food visits, especially the pizza and chocolate at the fudge place. (She is especially attracted to the city because she can see another of her dearest cousin's work: the bandshell at Millennium Park.) I share her enthuisiasm, however, I did find that the walk between "events" was a bit tedious and long without too much along the way to reccommend it. e.g. -we were shown a handsomely carved red door and told it was "the most photographed door in Chicago," we were not told why or what the door was about. Learning about the neighbourhoodfs was good - Lincoln Park., Gold Coast, Old Town - all worth the time. I was not sure about standing outside a restaurant and being told it was the best of whatever style of cooking it held. Good. But it might have been nice to step inside and experience why. On the other hand our guide was warm and entertaining and demonstrated what is most needed in a guide: enthusiasm for his subject. He really loves the city. Finally I would like to have travelled less and seen more. Someone please tell him what the Manodnack (I may have spelling it wrong) building is and why it is important to the understanding of why Chicago is the founder of American architecture. Finally, the upshot of the tour is that my wife can't wait to return to Chicago.

Had a great time.

I found the tour by querying things to do in Chicago. There were four women in our group, ages 30 to 55. We all had a great time. The bakery, deli, spice, tea and candy shops as well as the Italian restaurant were all very interesting and had wonderful samples. I also enjoyed the facts and history provided along the way. The tour guide was super. We all said we would love to do it again. FYI: Wear comfortable walking shoes.

Very nice tour but don't come too hungry

Tour was good, well planned out and quite interesting. Very good guide. We are local but really like Chicago restaruants and food in general. Found some new places we will try, learned some new Chicago facts and had a good time. My only issue is that there is not enough actual food. Half way through the tour all we had was one very small tasting, a beverage and a peice of candy. They were all good, but we came hungry. If not for the pizza towards the end we would have had to go out to lunch afterward.
