Our guide-- I think her name was Adrianna--was great; very freindly & knowledgable. The locations chosen were really good with the exception of the deli. It was just OK, not a big fan of lunchmeat. The spices, tea & olive oil places were different & delicious. Would definately reccommend this tour to others. It was nice to walk thru the beautiful neighborhoods of Old Town & Lincoln Park. |

The tour guide Ariana was great! She enjoys what she does and it shows. The food on the tour was so good and I would've never known of these gems if it wasn't for this tour. I went back to the stores after the tour to make some purchases for myself and some gifts as well. The people at the stores and restaurants on this tour were so friendly and very imformative. I would've never learned so much about the products without their demonstration or information they provided. I have already recommended this tour to over a dozen people. You've gotta do this tour! |

My husband was in Chicago for business, and I tagged along for my first trip to the city. I signed up for this thinking I'd get to sample some local food...and I DID, but I got so much more...
Our tour guide, Arriana, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and offered lots of information on Chicago's architecture and history. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour (and the rest of my trip) and will definitely take the Bucktown/Wicker Park one the next time I go to Chicago.
In summary: good food, great expeience, fantastic guide |

This food tasting walking tour was a lot of fun. We had great samples from all the food groups (Reuben sandwich, Chicago deep dish pizza, chocolate, spices, high-end tea, and additional desserts). We learned lots of miscellaneous facts about Chicago and its neighborhoods, along with interesting food facts (ask me about the four basic kinds of tea or how you rate the potency of cinnamon).
The tour covers a lot of ground so you need to be able to walk some distance. Of course that works perfectly to make the goodies taste even better. Our guide, Nikki, a Chicago native, was very enthusiastic and friendly and knew a lot about the foods we sampled. The tour company seems to have a great relationship with the merchants, so that they were well-prepared at each stop and always treated us as valued guests.
We plan to take another food walking tour the next time we visit Chicago. |

There were 5 of us who were in Chicago celebrating a friend's birthday. I was a little sceptical of a "walking" food tour but I couldn't have been more pleased. Not only did we walk the tour but we walked back and stopped at every shop. We all loved it. We experienced places that we wouldn't have found on our own. Our guide was wonderful. She shared things with us that made the walk go quite fast. The only negative thing I can think of is the weather. It was raining when we began and terriblly hot and humid when the tour was finished. If you could control the weather, it would be perfect! I can't wait to come back and bring more friends. (I think I'll wait until the Fall when the walk will be a little cooler) |

One of the best experiences my friends and I have had. Our guide was wonderful and full of knowledge. After we finished the tour, we went backwards and stopped at most of the shops again; this time to buy. |

Well-paced, yummy tour. My kids tasted things they wouldn't have been willing to try if I'd just put the same stuff in front of them at the dinner table.
NOTE that the tour starts and ends in two different places. We parked near the end and then walked/bussed to the start area. The "Parking in the Park" garage was not open, but we found on-street parking in the Lincoln Park neighborhood and then walked to Clark St., rode Bus 36, and disembarked at State & Maple, which is near Ashkenaz Deli. |
