Tour was great except on stop

I would recommend the tour to anyone. However there was one stop that was below average (catering chocolate) that seemed more of a look how great they are rather than the actual food. The rest of the stops were excellent. (I would recommend replacing the above stop with a pastry shop perhaps Polish or Italian bakery. These are more a part of chicago than cheese from Wisconsin....

Our tour was great: Interesting, entertaining, educational and lots of fun. Although the weather was not that great, the whole group had a very good time. The stops were greatly selected and you really get a feeling to get introduced to the city. Thanks again for this great experience.

No better way to explore Chicago

Although Chicago is a wonderfully welcoming city, it can be difficult to summon up the courage to venture beyond the busy city centre. This is why a tour such as this is so good. It brings you to parts you would never have thought of visiting before and enhances the whole Chicago experience. We had a lovely small group on our tour . If you are a tourist it can be hard to meet people other than hotel receptionists and waiters who are being paid to be pleasant to you. So an opportunity to meet ordinary people and hear their stories is great. As for the tour, we had a marvellous, warm, outgoing lady, Jan, who didn't prattle off a script like a tired bored tour guide. Instead she spoke informatively and entertainingly about many aspects of Chicago food, architecture, history and some really good, unrepeatable gossip! The places we stopped at were interesting and so good that afterwards we redid the tour so we could purchase items and spend even longer in the shops The whole tour took about 3 hours and although we didn't walk fast, at the end my husband and I were exhausted. I recommend this tour to just about anyone, in fact it made the trip for us, I can't praise the tour or the tour guide highly enough.

The tour was above our expectations. Not only was there great food to sample, but we learned a lot at each stop and had fun. Our tour guide, Ariana, was fantastic! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

We really enjoyed the tour. The guide was friendly and interesting, adding commentary on architecture and history in between stops. The 7 restaurants and stores were even better than expected from the reviewed we read. There is no shopping during the tour, in order to keep on schedule. The tour ended 1.5 miles from where it started, but we decided to retrace the route so we could stop at all the stores we had visited and buy items.

Great way to taste Chicago.

I had a great time. I wouldn't have found all those great places on my own. The guide (Ariana) was fun and knowledgeable. Only negatives are that I'm not sure the last stop was worth the long walk (or maybe start at the end and work back to Ashkenaz) and I would like to have other payment options rather than credit card through a service with a fee. But those are small matters. I'd definitely recommend this for foodies.

The tour was excellent. We learned a lot about Chicago and the tasty food in the city. The spice store and the oil store were really great, and have wonderful products. The tea was also delicious. My dad, who is not exactly what you would call a foodie, even enjoyed the tour. It was a fun and different way to see the city.

My 3 kids and I went on this wonderful walking food tour with the greatest guide, Nicky. She was informative, energetic, and kept us eager to make the next stop. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone ages 13 and over. We went April 1 and the weather was beautiful and our group was fun. The owners of each stop were very accommodating and made this a memorable trip. Thanks!

I loved the mix of food eating and education, and the historical/ architectural facts given as you walk through old neighborhoods on this tour. Ariana was a delightful and knowledgable tour guide who really made the tour fun and interesting.
