Near North Food Tasting & Cultural Walking Tour

My fiancee and I had a great time. Our favorite was the Old Time Oil. We didn't know what to expect when we were instructed to take mini-shots of flavored oil and vinegar, but to our surprise everything was so amazingly tastey. We ended up buying 8 bottles. Our guide, Jennifer, was the best! We highly recommend this tour to anyone who has any appreciation for food.

First of all I'd like to say that dealing with Zerve was a pleasure and our guide could not have been better. She was enthusiastic and knowledgeable.-- just a joy to be with! The tour was very informative! We had always wanted to learn about the Old Town / Lincoln Park areas, and we did! There was enough food, and we went away full and satisfied. I'd go back to the Ashkenaz Deli in a heartbeat! The pizza, though, was not hot and the dough was tough---It was as though it had been sitting for awhile. The shop I was not sure I'd enjoy was the oil / vinegar shop, but it was truely fabulous!! Everyone should know about it! And what else needs to be saId about a shop that sells good chocolate! Yum! I can't wait to go on their other tour!

Our group consisted of women ages 20 to 54 years old. Everyone had a great time. Our guide kept us interested and was very fun. I will recommend this tour.

As food service providers, our group enjoyed this great activity. This was not a traditional class room seminar. It provided time to share with co-workers, walk a little, eat a little, walk more, ... As a corporate food service group we loved this out of the box experience. The customer service from each establishment was great; but the guides on our tours were extremely knowledgeble and fun. The group enjoyed the fun facts of the neighborhood and it provided folks who frequently visit downtown Chicago, new vistas to explore on their return trips!

We had a group of 10 friends that enjoyed the Chicago Food and Cultural Walking Tour. It was great fun and was enjoyed by everyone!! The guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable.

We all really enjoyed the experience provided to learn about the different neighborhoods and enjoy some good eats along the way. This is so a one of a kind way to experience all that the city has to offer. Thanks again, we'll be back!

Our tour guide Nicki was fun & enthusiastic. This tour got us off the beaten path and into some neighbourhoods we wouldn't have seen otherwise. We covered a lot of ground at a relaxed pace, remember to wear comfy shoes. The next time I visit Chicago I'll definately try the Wicker Park tour.....and maybe do this one again!
