We did a similar tour inNYC & loved it( we did have more food stops there) it is sucha fabulous way to see another layer of a big city. It is nice to hear about the history of a neighbourhood & how it has evolved. in this case - we also learned about the products ie tea & spices-- most informative & a delightful way to spend three hours.. We would do another one in a different area on our next visit!! Well done! ES

My children (ages 16, 15, & 8) and I all enjoyed the walking food tour. Sometimes it can be difficult to find something everyone likes to do on vacation. We all totally enjoyed ourselves and would recommend it to others who want to get a feel for the city you are visiting.

Finding great experiences for sometimes picky children can be a challenge. My 18 yr old son and 15 yr old daughter LOVED the tour!! Learning about the history of the North End,the amazing architecture, introductions to exotic teas, amazing aged balsamic vinegars, flavored olive oils, stuffed pizza, and a Ruben sandwich was the Perfect way to begin our first of many stays in Chicago. Ariana was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, fun and charming. Can't wait to return and take your other tours. Really made the trip and was the prefect beginning to experience a great city. Recommend highly, something for everyone.

Great tour! Adriana was enthusiastic about Chicago and wonderfully informed us with unique insights about the various neighborhoods on the tour. A must for those who enjoy leisurely walks, history, architecture, specialty shops, restaurants and samplings.

This tour provides an excellent and unique opportunity to experience the architecture, food and vibe of Chicago neighborhoods. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and energetic, and provided us with a wealth of knowledge about the city and its history. I'd highly recommend this tour -- it was the highlight of our trip!

We really liked the spice shop and the pizza restaurant and the chocolate shop. We thought the oil shop was weak. It sold mediocre oil. We have sourced better oil ourselves. we personally have better balsamic vinegar than was on offer in this shop. Weak point of tour. It would have been helpful if the guide had made recommendations of other restaurants/cafes on our route. Generally the other places were weak and the food was mediocre. This includes the oil shop and the deli and the sandwich shop. The Wicker Park food tour is much better.

Come Hungry!

With a Ruben on Rye starting as an appetizer and finishing off with a hearty pizza, it is hard to finish all the good food. After all, the generous portions offered will guarantee fulfillment to even the hungriest of guests. I'd recommend the customer to come hungry and leave happy!!! :-)

My husband and I enjoyed the tour very much. We were not sure about the spice shop and the Oil shop when we signed up. It turned out that the Old Town Oil shop was our favourite. We loved the experience so much that we went back the next day and tasted more combinations and ordered some to be shipped home. We enjoyed all the stops on the tour. Our tour guide made everything came alive. The pace was good, quantities and mix of food very good. Would recommend it to anyone who is visiting Chicago.
