Gold Coast & Old Town Food Tour

It was a great way to start our vacation. Got to see many landmarks and taste the great foods of Chicago. Ended up going back to buy Tea from one of the stores and also eat at the Deli. The walk combined with food stops helps keep teens entertained, which is always a struggle!

The tour offered both cultural insights and food tastings experiences. We had tons of fun and really enjoyed the whole tour. We would definitely like to take other tours offered by the company.

I had no idea what this tour would entail upon signing up to celebrate my birthday with my children. This sounded like something different! I was most pleasantly surprised and would recommend it to anyone...from in or out of town. We learned so much thanks to our informed guide, Ariana. She was wonderful, so enthusiastic and attentive. I loved all the food we tasted (in large quantities) and the nonfood places where places I passed many times and never went in. They were all places I would go back to now again and again. I have told so many of my friends already, and ask for Ariana -

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour! Our tour leader was very informative and fun to boot! We learned so much about the city, the neighborhoods,and food! Lots of details were provided about the places we visited, and demonstrations and valuable information about the foods we ate..how healthy they were and why, how it was made, and it all tasted great. I would recommend this tour to any adult able to walk....we went on the Near North tour and plan on signing up for the Wicker park tour next! Kate was Great!!!

Kate was our tour guide - very knowledgable, enthusiastic, and interactive. It was nice to see different parts of Chicago while tasting local treats. Not only did we experience the restaurants / shops, but Kate gave us some history of the city along the way. I would highly recommend this tour! It's a great way to see the city!

Our guide, Jen, was the most enthusiastic person, so upbeat and really knew the area. She was funny and light and had a wonderful rapport with the merchants we visited. Only one stop on the tour could have been eliminated. All the rest were great and for sure we had enough food to last the day.

I purchased this tour as a gift for my husband who loves to try new foods. Surprisingly, I enjoyed it as much as he did. The Old Town Oil stop was so much fun. Who would have thought drinking olive oil could be such a treat to your senses. Definitely recommend the tour. More walking than anticipated, but it was a beautiful day.

Loved the tour and our tour guide Jennifer! The stops were all highly recommended...I could not even tell you my favorite because they were all so tasty. I also loved seeing the neighborhoods and learning more about them. I'm sure to visit this area again as opposed to the standard downtown activities.

Great variety of food and drink that I would never have found on my own. Also the feel you get for Chicago neighborhoods and their history was wonderful. Our guide, Kate, was very personable and knowledgable. We had bad weather(first rain then steamy 90plus heat) but it was still a great adventure for our group.
