This food tour was part of my bachelorette party. The food was delicious, the guide was friendly and informative. This isn't just a tour going restaurant to restaurant. You walk through historic neighborhoods as well and learn a little bit of history as well. It is lots of walking, make sure you wear comfy shoes!

My husband and I did the Near North Food Tour and enjoyed it very much. Our guide was friendly and informative about both the food and the sites. Each stop along the way gave a nice "sample" of what they had to offer and we left feeling full, but not too stuffed to still walk around. I did not feel rushed, but I wish we could have spend a little more time at each of the stops. We look forward to trying out their other tours!

We really enjoyed this tour, it gave us an opportunity to walk around through the neighborhoods and also to sample some really great foods at different local restaurants. It helped us to get out and explore more than we would have on our own. It was really informative, and most of all, tasty! Overall, a very fun day!

The food was great and a good variety;especially enjoyed the non-eating stops such as the spice and oil shops. Kent was a good guide as he was knowledgable about the neighborhoods we walked through. We would recommend this tour!

My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed the Near North Tasting & Cultural Tour. The guide we had was really super...very informatiive and congenial...made everyone on our tour feel welcomed. The pace of the tour could not have been better. Stops were perfectly spread out, and the food samples were both generous and varied. You will NOT have to eat any lunch after the tour, and plan on a late dinner, as well!! If ever in Chicago again, we plan on taking some of the other Food and Cultural Tours offered by this company!! Money very well spent!!

Our guide, Nicole, was both fun and very informative. She was genuinely enthusiastic which made the tour even better. The selection of neighborhood specialty food locations was a wonderful variety of tastings to tempt our palates. I had requested no dairy (if possible) and each location was very accommodating. The history of Old Town and the Gold Coast was well presented. We will definitely do another tour in the future.

This is a promotional tour rather than historical

This is the third tasting tour we have been on, so I have a place for comparison. While on the previous tours the guides had a deep knowledge of the historical background of the city and neighborhoods we strolled through, on this one we walked from shop to shop and heard the guide promoting their merchandise (tea, oil, spices etc). These places had little historical value or interesting history. We ended the tour feeling disappointed. And to finish with a small anecdote: if you take the group to a Jewish deli and serve them with "traditional" Jewish sandwich - it can't have both pastrami and cheese on it. It shows that the guide had no idea what they are talking about.

We had a great time! It was wonderful to see different neighborhoods within the city. Each stop provided something different; allowing us to get a feel for the various groups that inhabit Chicago & the foods they provide. Our guide, Colleen, was great! She was warm, personable & truly entertaining!
