Good food and good information

I would definitely recommended this tour for all ages. The tour guide was very friendly. The food we tried was delicious! It's also a good tour for people that never been to Chicago because you learn a little about the city and the history. Just remember to wear comfortable clothes and shoes because the tour is 3 hrs of walking.

This was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon with my boyfriend. The guide was very informative and kept the walk fun and engaging. I would absolutely recommend this for people from Chicago or who are just visiting. The variety of places that are visited means that there is a spot for all kinds of tastes to be enjoyed!! I will definitely be trying the other tour later this summer.

Loved the tour! We would do this again in a hearbeat. It's great for all age groups and allows you to step outside your comfort zone - food wise. I went back & bought from two of the six sites & had the tea and oil & vinegar shipped home. Thanks Jess!

We had a great time. The guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Too bad we could not shop during the tour. The Ruben's sandwich place was amazing. The Tea, Spices, Oil/Vinager and Chocolate spots were great. Not so sure about the pastries place. Bring water, good shoes and a sweather. Definitely a Must when visiting Chicago.

OUTSTANDING Tour!!

If you are reading this review wondering if you should sign up for this tour - just DO IT! It was a wonderful way to experience some food, history, and sights of the Near North area of Chicago. Our tour group leader Ariana did an excellent job of explaining some simple yet not-too-structured do's/don'ts beforehand - so there were no surprises along the way. The "food stops" are spaced very well & the route is easy walking. You will get to see a part of Chicago that would only be experienced if you lived in that neighborhood (or somehow got lost driving around...) And the food tastings were EXCELLENT. As I mentioned before - just DO IT!

This food tour is not only tasty, but also very informative with respect to Chicago history and architecture. This is the three hour tour that ends on a good note!

This was a fabulous tour! We are from out of state but have visited Chicago often. This tour gave us everything we wanted - culture, history of the areas toured, ability to see some of the residential districts and architecture, as well as the tastings. I want to go back to every place we visited - each of which we could easily have spent the full three hours in. This is the best way to discover those locally owned operations that you would never find otherwise. Our tour guide was extremely nice, very knowledgeable and anticipated our every need and question. We are definitely coming back for the Bucktown tour.

Fantastic, with one caveat....

We absolutely loved our tour & would highly recommend it to others. However, our guide was talking on a cell phone on several occasions during our tour, which was unacceptable to me. Because I could hear his end of the conversations, I knew that they were not personal calls--he was apparently responsible for fielding tour-related phone calls DURING our tour, which required him to interrupt anyone who was walking/speaking with him @the time the calls came in. I consider that a poor business model, and very rude. Please reconsider the policy that apparently expects tour guides to carry on business related cell phone conversations during tours.
