Near North Food Tasting & Cultural Walking Tour

Our tour was great. Our guide was also great. Very informative and knowledgable. I wasn't crazy about the sausage pizza- only because I don't like sausage. I would have liked to pick what kind I wanted.

The Near North food tour was very enjoyable. Our guide was very informative and knowledgeable about the neighborhood we walked through. He also was very familiar with restaurants and shops we visited. I especially enjoyed the visits to the Spice House, Tea Merchant and Old Town Oil. They offered a nice variety to the tour. Who ever thought I would be sipping oil and vinegar and liking it! I would definitely recommend this tour as a great way to see a neighborhood in Chicago up close and try some excellent restaurants and shops that may otherwise not be noticed

It was nice to have good sized servings from food places as well as the guide describing other features of the city that we walked by.

This tour came highly recommended by friends of mine who visited Chicago last Labour Day weekend and I have to say they were spot on! I attended the tour alone and knew I was in for a great afternoon after being greeted by Jess, a sweet and energetic tour guide. After a brief conversation, I could tell she was extremely passionate and eager to share with us some of the local food establishments and neighbourhoods. The food at our seven stops was well planned, offered a variety and was delicious, but what made the experience truly enjoyable was being able to walk around the Near North and Old Town districts while Jess gave us the history of the area. Thanks Jess for a fabulous tour and an awesome afternoon. This was definitely one of the highlights on my Chicago visit and I highly recommend this tour to all visitors.

What a wonderful experience!! Not only was all the food delicious but our tour guide Jess made it interesting. The time flew by. Loved being able to walk in neighborhoods that we might not have gone to and Jess gave us the history of the area that brought it even more alive. Enjoyed all of the different foods. Chicago is truly a multi-cultural city. We have been on fabulous food tours in Boston and NYC Greenwich Village. This tours rates right up there. The foods are great but the tour guide makes it an exceptional way to spend the day. Thanks Jess!! 👍

Incredibly interesting tour. They hit the history of the food as well as the restaurants you stop at, and some really interesting historical landmarks along the way. Good amount of food...definitely worth the money. I will go on a tour with Chicago Food Planet again.

The guide made our tour so enjoyable! She was very attentive to everyone. The food stops were an excellent combination of culinary delights. I highly recommend this tour!
