Fun tour in Chicago

We will be back for another tour. It was a chilly day but we enjoyed it a lot. We only wish we could have had some time to shop in the sample stores. Even 15 min would be great!

Highly enjoyable, both from a food and tour guide standpoint. An easy walk, cool neighborhoods and alot of information presented. Do it - I have also been on the Wicker Park tour and recommend both.

Near North Food Tasting Tour enjoyed by both of us

Thoroughly enjoyed our tour, and our guide Nicole. She was very professional and friendly at the same time, made us feel welcome and always had a smile on her face. Since she obviously enjoyed what she was doing, we too enjoyed the whole tour. She was well-informed and took the time to answer all questions. By booking this tour, we saw an area of Chicago that we may otherwise have never seen. Group was small and friendly. We tasted deli, possibly the best reuben we have ever had (and we've tried many in our city of Toronto), deep dish pizza to us which is symbolic of Chicago, but maybe you might consider adding a Chicago hot dog stop to the itinerary which is also to us symbolic of Chicago. The tour was just the right length of time to spend as well.

Outstanding and Exceptional

A friend had recommended this tour to me when I mentioned that I and a girlfriend were going to Chicago. I asked her to tell me the most outstanding activity that she had participated in and she said that it was this culinary walking tour. She was right. This tour was guided by a charming, knowledgeable, Chicago loving person who brought us to 7 different locations to savor food, oil and vinegar, tea, chocolates and Hungarian pastries. She guided us through the Gold Coast and Old Town, pointing out architechoral features, recounting historical events and providing us with snippets of information concerning some of the more colorful inhabitants who have lived in Chicago. The three hours flew by. I have already recommended this tour to a number of people.

Had a great time on the walking tour, met lots of nice people from the local area and other tourists. Loved the choice of stops we made, went back for a couple of purchases. Our guide was friendly and informative and I would definitely recommend this to anyone taking a trip to the Chicago area.

Fantastic tour! Architecture, history, and food!

This was a very interesting tour. We learned a lot about the area and its history. Lots of interesting stops and a lot of information. Our tour guide, Kent, was very knowledgeable and a good story teller. I think the only low point of the tour was the last stop, the pastry shop. The high points for us were the Spice House (we've ordered from them for years) and Old Town Oil. Lots of goodies.

Fantastic taste of Chicago!

This was a fantastic tour! We were visiting from South Louisiana and only had one day in Chicago, so we wanted to make the most of it. This was a great way to not only sample some of the local fare, but a chance to learn a little bit about the city as well. Nicole, our guide, was enthusiastic and informed, so it was very educational, as she pointed out interesting landmarks and buildings during our walking tour of the Gold Coast and Old Town neighborhoods. The food was fantastic, beginning with the pastrami sandwiches at Ashkenaz Deli, all the way through to Delightful Pastries. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Chicago. What a beautiful city!

Great way to meet Chicago!

This tour was easy, fun, packed with information and the food was terrific! We came away with tons of ideas of places to go, things to do and eat! We learned more than we could ever have learned in such a fun and relaxed setting. I would recommend it to anyone. Our age group was diverse as was the tour itself. Our host was charming and knowledgeable. We look forward to attending more tours. This was our second visit to Chicago. The first time researching the web and randomly trying places. This tour is a much better way of getting to know the city! We've never taken a tour before so had no idea what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised and felt it was worth every penny!

The food was great. The stop in the tea house was more interesting then I ever thought. We went back to the purchase some of the items we had an opportunity to try. I would high recommend it.
